BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CM MISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH: - Section 1. (b) All yards, lots, ables, pens,cellars,vaults,drains,pe , wells,cisterns,privies,'�A �a�� `sewers,grounds, premises or buildings of every character, thick are not kept free of dead carcasses, decay- ing flesh,fish,fowls, vegetables,stagnant waster or other stagnant liquids, slons,trash, rubbish or other. deposits of substance of a,ny and every character which are likely to or do become uizwhole- some,filthy, offensive, unhealthful or likely to create or engender disease. (d) Burning in the open,hair,leather,rags or other substances, emitting an offensive, unhealthful or annoying smell,smoke or odor. ( e) Keeping, having or operating, or suffering or permitting to exist,any slaughter-house, butcher-pen or other place where ani- mals,fowls, or birds are slaughtered or killed for the market. ( f) FermittinS or allowing weeds,filth or rubbish to grow, be or remain on any lots, grounds or premises, or permitting such weeds to extend from such premises intc any, street or alley adjacent to such lots, grounds or premisef . ( 1) Keeping or leaving open or unclosed, any vault,hole,celle.r or other opening on any street, side-walk_,alley or other public thoroughfare unless the same be sufficiently protected and ,guarded to insure safety to all passim b�' or near the same. (m) Allowing or permitting any privy or water-closet to be and remain in such condition as to expose to view from without any person thcrein or contents thereof. (n) Throwing, putting or placing Lpon the premiss c any dung, feces, urine or other unclean or filthy sine or liquid, trash or other r bbish of any chary- ter A delt animal, bird or fowlcrr�r4� ( o) Throwing, hauling or dumping on or removing from any side- walk,street, alley, or other public place any dry coal or other substance of any character so as to cause or produce an annoying or offensive dust to be generated or diffused therefrom. (p) Printing, posting,sticking, or placing any advertisement, hand-bill,placard, poster,lithograph;show bill or other printed pictures or written matter upon any post, fence,wall or building public or private,without the consent of the owner or person in charge thereof. ( q) Expectorating or spitting upon any side-walk,street or in or upon any public place or building,street car or other public vehicle, any spittle, soiiva, secretion or other substance coming *+»s, the •neL�th or name, or throwing or placing in or upon any such place hereinabove mentioned arks cneweu wr yarc,-L,; chewed tuoacc%�i or snuff or remnant of any cigar or cigarette. (r) Defecating; or urinating upon any street, alley,park or pub- lic grounds or upon any place visible to persons in any public street or other public place or private residence. ( s) Sleeping upon any street,side-walk, alley or 1n any like public place, to which the public may resort. ( t) Any act or thing not hereinbefore enumerated,which interferes with any personas rights to be free from foul,noxious and unpleas- ant air, odor, gases and vapors,and from the sight of foul and offensive things and substances. Section 2. Any person,firm,corporation or association of persons who shall violate or cause, permlt or allow to be violated any of the provisions of this ord4 -lance shall be deemed guilty of a misde- eanor u►-;a ,; on confi ct�p.i i.i►a .eva P, _ ._ �e ia:,_ .'se,-, .-=r '.&ma AgritsAas Hundred Dol1.rR,end each day that such violation shall continue shall be deemed a �IeParate and distinct offense and punishable as such. Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed;provided,hov7aver,that the enumeration of nuisances as hereinbefore Set out shall not be regarded as exclusive nor shall the repealing clause herein be con- strued to affect other ordinances in which acts and thins not em- braced herein are defined as nuisances and made punishable as such. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passa-e and publication as required by law.
