AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT A PORTION OF QUAIL TRAIL AND P.M ER BOULEVARD, AND ALL OF ROANOKE STREET, ALL BEING STREETS IN ROCKWOOD TERRACE, THIRD FILING, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE VACATED, CLOSED, AND ABANDONED; RELINQUISH- ING TITLE TO THE AREA FOMMRLY IN SUCH STREETS SO CLOSED AND ABANDONED TO OWNERS OF ADJACENT PROPERTY; BFPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOIS EFFECTIVE IkIlMIATELY. WHEREAS, heretofore, by plat duly recorded in the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, Rockwood Terrace, Third Filing, an Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, was duly dedicated; and, WHEREAS, among the streets dedicated on said plat were Quail Trail, Roanoke Street and Meeker Boulevard; and, WHEREAS, thereafter a portion of said addition was resubdivided, said portion so resubdivided being that portion originally designated as Lots 13 to 24, inclusive, in Block 13, all of Blocks 16 and 17, and Lots 4 and 11 in Block 18, such resubdivision being in accord with plat approved by the City Plan Commission of the City of Fort North, Texas, on December 21, 1950, which said plat was duly recorded in Volume 388-21 at page 389 of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, having been filed for record on March 14, 1951, said portion so resubdivided being now known as Lots A and B of Fair Oaks Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Tex- as, and Lots 11-A and 12-A, Block 18 of Rockwood Terrace, Third Filing, an Addition to the City of Fort Worth; and, WHEREAS, such resubdivision changes the course of certain streets and includes property formerly included in other streets, and, 'WHEREAS, although the hereinafter described areas have been used or dedicated heretofore as public streets, it is deemed to the best interest of the public that the same be permanently closed and abandoned to public use; NOW, TH REFORE, BE IT ORDAIPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT JORTH, TE S: SECTION 1. That the following described area located in what was formerly desig- nated as Rockwood Terrace, Third Filing, an Addition to the City of Fort .a Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same is hereby vacated, closed, and permanently abandoned as a public street: All that portion of Quail Trail lying north and east of the following described portion of the northeast- erly boundary line of Quail Trail as the same is now shown on the plat of Lots A and B of Fair Oaks Addi- tion to the City of Fort Forth, Tarrant County, Texas, described as follows, to wit: Beginning at a point 2 feet north 750 53? east of con- crete monument No. 461, as shown on said plat of said addition, and continuing in a northerly and northwest- erly direction along the westerly line of Lot A of said Fair Oaks Addition and ending at the most we cor- ner of said Lot A, said most westerly corner being the intersection of Quail Trail with State Highway No. 183, reference being here made to the record of the plat of said Fair Oaks Addition for the purpose of fully incor- porating herein the description as thereon shown. SECTION 2. That the following described area loacted in what was formerly known as Rockwood Terrace, Third Filing, an Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and.the same is hereby vacated, closed, and per- manently abandoned as a public street: That portion of Meeker Boulevard lying between the west- erly boundary of Lot A, Fair Oaks Addition and the east- erly boundary of said Lot A, Fair Oaks Addition, said Fair Oaks Addition being an addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, reference being here made to the record of the plat of said addition for the pur- pose of fully incorporating herein the description there- on shown. SECTION 3. That the following described area located in what was formerly known as Rockwood Terrace, Third Filing, 'an Addition to the City of Fcrrt Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same is hereby vacated, closed, and per- manently abandoned as a public street: All of Roanoke Street, as shown on the plat of said Rockwood Terrace, Third Filing, said Roanoke Street being a street lying between the area formerly known as Block 16 in said addition and the area formerly known as Block 17 in said addition and extending from Meeker Boulevard to wail Trail, reference being here made to the plat of said Rockwood Terrace, Third Fil- ing, an Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, for the purpose of fully incorporating herein the description as thereon shown of said Meeker Boulevard. SECTION Q. That the rights of the public in the areas hereinabove specifically abandoned as public streets be and are hereby released to the owners of r, the adjoining proberty. S=TION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION b. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage.
