COSTS OF INTROVEMENTS AND OF AMOUNTS TO BE ASSESSED
FOR IMPROVEMENTS ON A PORTION OF CULLEN AND FOCH
STREETS IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEAS, FIXING TIME
AND PLACE FOR HEARING TO THE OWNERS OF ABUTTING
PROPERTY AND TO ALL OAS INTERESTED AND DIRECTING
THE CITY SECRETARY TO GIVE NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, has here-
tofore ordered that the hereinbelow mentioned portion of Cullen and Poch Streets be
improved by raising, grading and filling same, constructing concrete curbs and gutters
where adequate curbs and gutters are not now installed on proper grade and line, by
paving with reinforced concrete pavement, together with incidentals and appurtenances,
including drains where necessary, all as provided by the plans and specifications for
such improvements, and contract therefor has been made and entered into with General
Construction Company; and,
AREAS, the City Council of said City has caused the City
Engineer to prepare and file estimates of the cost of such improvements, and estimate
of the amounts per front foot proposed to be assessed against abutting property and
the owners thereof, and such estimates have been examined;
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
I.
That such estimates be and they are adopted and approved.
II.
That it is hereby found and determined that the cost of im-
provements on such portion of Cullen and Foch Streets, with the amount or amounts per
front foot proposed to be assessed for such improvements against the abutting property
and the owners thereof are as follows, to-wit:
ON CULLEN STREET, From the Easterly line of Foch Street,
to the West Edge of Pavement on the Jacksboro Highway; the estimated
cost of the improvements is $67,447.00; the estimated amount per front
foot to be assessed against the abutting property and the owners there-
of for curb and gutter is $1.75; the estimated amount per front foot
to be assessed against abutting property and the owners there6E,•for
improvements exclusive of curb and gutter is $7.50, the total estimated
amount per front foot to be assessed against abutting property and the
owners thereof is $9.25.
ON FOCH STREET, From the Northerly Line of White Settle-
ment Road to the Northerly line of Cullen Street; the estimated cost
of the improvements is $23,371.00; the estimated amount per front
foot to be assessed against the abutting property and the owners thereof
for curb and gutter is $1.75; the estimated amount per front foot
to be assessed against abutting property and the owners thereof for
improvements exclusive of curb and gutter is $7.50; the total est*Ated
amount per front foot to be assessed against abutting property and the
owners thereof is $9.25.
The improvements to be constructed on the above described
portion of Cullen and Foch Streets in said City to consist of raising, grading and
filling same, constructing concrete curbs and gutters where adequate curbs and gutters
are not now installed on proper grade and line, by paving with reinforced concrete
pavement, together with incidentals and appurtenances, including drains where necessary
all as provided by the plans and specifications for such improvements.
III,
That a hearing be given and held by and before the City
Council of the City of Fort Worth, to all owning or claiming any property abutting
upon said portion of Callen and Poch Streets and to all others owning or claiming
any interest in any such property. Such hearing shall be given and held on the
day of ,1949, at o1clock, in the
in the City Hall in the City of Fort Worth, Texas, and the City
Secretary ts hereby directed to give notice 6f the time and place of such hearing and
of other matters and facts in accordance with the terms and provisions of the Act
passed at the First Called Session of the Fortieth Legislature of the State of Texas,
known as Chapter 106 of the Acts of said Session which Act has been adopted as an
amendment to and made a part of the Charter of the City of Fort Worth. Such notices
shall be by advertisement inserted at least three times in a newspaper published in
the City of Fort Worth, Texas, the first publication to be made at least ten (10)
days before the date of said hearing and said notice shall comply with and be-in
accordance with the terms and provisions of said Act.
