I 1 NNW- An Ordinance prescribing the hours during which saloons,dram- shops and tipplinge places in the city of Fort Worth shall remain closed and transact no business and. providing for fine and forfeiture of license for violation of same,, Be it ordinaed by the Board of Commissioners of the City of -Fort Worth: That all dram-shops, tippling-places and saloons in the City of "Tort Worth, wherein intoxicating liquors are sold, shall close their doors and transact no business therein from and after 12 o' clock midnight until 5 o'clock a.m, of each week da�r, and shall remain closed and transact no business at such places from and after 12 o' clock midnight Saturday until 501clock a.m. of the following Monday morning of each week. Sec. 2. Any person, whether proprietor or employe, who sTiall keep ope n or permit to be kept open, or who shall transact or per- (A-" -nit to be transacted any business in such placesjkduring the prohibited hours aforesaid shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon con- viction thereof shall be fined in any slue not less than fifty nor more than two hundred dollars, and by reason of said conviction the owner of such offending place shall be adjudged to forfeit his city license to conduct said business. Sec. 3. In addition to imposing said fine, it shall be and is hereby made the duty of the Court entering such fine to adjudge the forfeiture of the city license of the owner of said busnness whether such owner be a co-partnership, joint stock company, individual or corporation, and the adjudication of forfeiture shall be embodied and recorded in the judgment of the conviction, and the sentenee of for- feiture shall apply to the owner of said license where lie is the offending party, and such sentence s'_lall also apply to said owner where the offending person be but employe or agent of such owner. Sec. 4. From and after said conviction and forfeiture it shall be unlawful to conduct business in the City of Fort Worth under said license and for a period of two years from and after the date of said forfeiture no license to engage in such business shall be issued by the City of Tort Worth or any of its officers to the owner of said for- J • fibitibdlicense nor to any person for him, nor to any firm, association of persons or cor:,,,oration in which he may be interested; and should any such license bto issued during said period of time the same shall be null and void and of no effect. sec. 5. By "saloon" as mentioned in Section 1 of this ordinance is meant any place in the City of '?ort Worth where intoxicating liq- vors are sold or vended to be drunk on the premises. Sec. 6. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, and publication as requird by law.
