HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 3202 ORDINANCE NO. 2- AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING CER- TAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWS- PAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVI- SIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described as follows: A triangular tract of land lying between the present City of Fort Worth city limits on the east side of James Street and on the southeast side of Farm-Market Highway 731, and being north of the northerly right of way line of the Southwest Loop. SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall be published one time in The Fort Worth Press, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and ef- fect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publication as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
