S`�s,_ AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT WELLESLEY AVENUE FROM HULEN STREET TO SANGUINET STREET, KENLEY STREET FROM FLETCHER STREET TO HOUGHTON STREET, AND THE NORTH FIVE FEET OF FLETCHER STREET FROM HULEN STREET TO SANGUINET STREET BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING THAT THE ALLEYS IN BLOCKS 26 AND 27, CHAMBERLIN ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ADDITION, SECOND FILING, BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING THAT THE TEN FOOT UTILITY EASEMENT BETWEEN LOTS 1 AND 53, BLOCK 4, SUNSET HEIGHTS ADDITION SOUTH, AND THE DRAINAGE EASEMENT LOCATED WEST OF HULEN STREET IN SAID BLOCK 4 OF SUNSET HEIGHTS ADDITION SOUTH BE CLOSED AND VACATED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEAL- ING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Wellesley Avenue from Hulen Street to Sanguinet Street, Kenley Street from Fletcher Street to Houghton Street, and the north five (5) feet of Fletcher Street from Hulen Street to Sanguinet Street be and the same are hereby closed, aban- doned and permanently vacated as streets or public thoroughfares of any kind or character whatever. SECTION 2. That the alleys in Blocks 26 and 27, Chamberlin Arlington Heights Addition, Second Filing, be and the same are hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as alleys or public thoroughfares of any kind or character whatever. SECTION 3. That the ten (10) foot utility easement between Lots 1 and 53, Block 4, Sunset Heights Addition South, and the drain- age easement located west of Hulen Street in said Block 4 of Sunset Heights Addition South are hereby extinguished, vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as easements. SECTION 4. That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said streets, alleys and easements is hereby re- leased and shall revert to the adjacent owners of the fee as provided by law. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here- with are hereby repealed. SECTION 6. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. Campbell, owners of all adjoining property, have requested the vacation of: OWEN 1) Wellesley Ave. from Hulen St. to Sanguinet Sto HIGKmwF-R 2) Kenley St. from Fletcher St, to Houghton St, 3) North 5 ft. of Fletcher St. from Hulen St. to Sanguinet MAHONEY 4) Alleys in Blocks 26 and 27 Chamberlin Arlington Heights, 2nd Filing 5) A 10 ft. utility easement between lots 1 and 53, Block 4, Sunset HARDY Heights Addition South 6) Drainage easement located west of Hulen St , in Block 4, Sunset Heights South The public rights-of-way as shown on the attached map are not open on the ground except for the north 125 ft. of Kenley St. This request is being made to permit replatting of rights-of-way and easements with adjoining properties to facilitate construction of an apartment complex. The City Plan Commission has reviewed the request and recommends adoption of an ordinance that has been prepared vacating the streets, alleys, and easements as requested subject to the replatting of the rights-of-way and easements with adjoining properties. The applicant has filed an acceptable subdivision plat which replats the public right-of-way and easements and dedicates Wellesley Ave. at a more desirable location, A copy of the proposed replatting is attached to the report regarding community facilities contracts for the subdivision dated January 3, 1968.
