HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 103 Ordinance No. An ordinance providing for the annexation to the city of Fort Worth of that certain Terretory in Tarrant County Texas adjoining and con- tigous to the City of Fort Worth and more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows to-wits Beginning at a point in the east line of the present corporate limits of the city of Fort Worth where it crosses the west fork of Trinitff riverf and at the center of said river;thence down said river with its meanderings in an easterly direction to the mouth of Sycamore creek; thence with the center of Sycamore creek in a e',utherly direction to the south bousd�y line of the H.S.Terrell surveyithence west with the south line of the said F.S.Terrell survey and A.Stinson survey to the east bouncy line of the present corporate limits of the city of Fort Worth' thence north with said east bouncy line of said city to the place of beginning; and extending tbecorporate limits to said city of Fort Worth so as to include said above described terretory and make the same an intengral part of said city,and granting unto the inhabitants of said Terretory all lawful priviliges and imposing upon them all legal responsibilties of citizens of the city of Fort Worth: BE IT ORDAINED 13Y THE BOAR) OT+ COPiMISSIOMSOF TRF, CITY OF FORT WOR,7 ' Sec.l. That it being made to appear to the Board of commissioners of the city of Fort forth that a majority of the inhabitants qualified to vote for *Jm members of the 76gislat ure,residing and having their dom- icile in that certain territory in Tarrant County Texas adjoining and contiguous to the present terretoryahimits Ithe city of Fort Worth, which said terry tort' is described as follows: Beginning at a point in the east line of the present corporate limits of the city of Fort Worth where it crosses the west fork of Trinity river and at the center of said river;thence down said river with its meanderings in an easterly direction to the mouth of Sycamore creek;tlienae with&he center of sycamore creek in a southerly direction to the south boundry line to the I.S.Terrell survey;,thence west with the south line of the said E.S.Terrell survey and A.Stbnson survey to the east boun4 y line of the present corporate limits of the city of Fort Worth; thence north with said east boundry line Jut of said city to place of beginning. have signified 'heir desire by petition in writing ,describing said above described terretory by metes and bounds,to which their names are signed and subscribed by them.to have said terretory annexed to and become part and parcel t ofthe said City of Fort Wort and it further appearing that said petitioners own or control the real property des- cribed in said terrretory seeking admission except the streets 11alloys and thoroughfares which have been dedicated to the publicland that said petition it in due form of law as required by the Charter of said city of Fort Worth,has been filed with the city Secretary and presented to the Board of Commissioner oUthe city of Fort Worth and the s�=e has been page 2. Ordinance No _ duly considered. Sec.2. That the above and foregoing territory as hereinbefore descr6bed be and the same is hereby made a part of and annexed to the municipal corporation of the city of Fort Worth,and the corporate limits of said city of Fort Worth as they have heretofore existed and now exist be and the same are hereby extended so as to include said terretory as an intregal part of the said city of Fort Worth,and the inhabitants res- iding and having their domicile in said terretory shall hereafter have and enjoy all the lawful rights and priviliges of citizens of the tty of Fort Worth and be bound by and observe all the lawful acts/ordinances rules and regulations governing other citizens of said city,and shall share all responsibilities and in every other manner and respect here after be and become citizens of said city of Fort Wortk Sec.3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
