AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING TERRITORY FROM WITHIN THE
CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, AND PRE-
SCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described territory within the corporate limits
of the City of Fort Worth is hereby discontinued as a part of the City of Fort
Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being
described by metes and bounds as follows:
Being a 15 acre tract out of the J. Watson and B. D. Al-
ford Surveys, Tarrant County, Texas; lying adjacent to the city
limits of River Oaks; being a school site for the Castleberry
Independent School District and being more fully described as
follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the present City of Fort Worth
city limit line at its intersection with the west line of Fron-
tier Street;
THENCE south west the west line of Frontier Street to its
intersection with the north line of Melbourne Drive;
THENCE east with the north line of Melbourne Drive to a
point which would be the intersection of an extension of the
west boundary of Block 17 of Clyde W. Mays Addition to the
Cities of River Oaks and Fort Worth, Texas;
THENCE south with the west boundary of Block 17 of said
addition to the southwest corner of Block 17;
THENCE east with the south line of Clyde W. Mays Addition
to the west line of Churchill Road;
THENCE northerly with the west line of Churchill Road to
the City limits of the City of Fort Worth, Texas;
THENCE in a westerly direction with the present City of
Fort Worth city limit line to the place of beginning and con-
taining approximately 15 acres of land.
SECTION 2.
That this ordinance shall become effective and shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, and it is so ordained.
