HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 3505 ORDINANCE NO. 3505 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE DISPOSAL OF UN- VACCINATED ANIMALS FOUND RUNNING AT LARGE IN AREAS UNDER QUARANTINE FOR RABIES; PROVIDING THAT SUCH ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMULATIVE OF ALL OTHER ORDI- NANCES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That when, under the authority vested in him by virtue of Sections 13 and 14, Chapter 18, of the Fort Worth City Code, the Director of the Department of Public Health and Welfare shall declare and designate any area within the City of Fort Worth to be under quarantine for the disease of rabies, any animal which has not been vaccinated for rabies within the preceding twelve (12) months is found running at large within the limits of such quarantined area, such animal shall be immediately destroyed by the Pound Master of the City of Fort Worth. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be cumulative of all other ordinances in the City of Fort Worth except in'those instances where such ordinances are in conflict herewith, in which instances, the terms of this ordinance shall prevail. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
