(o ( 01 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE NORTH-SOUTH ALLEY IN BLOCK 8, SOUTH SIDE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM ANTHONY AVENUE SOUTH TO WEST SEMINARY DRIVE AND THE EAST- WEST ALLEY IN SAID BLOCK FROM THE NORTH-SOUTH ALLEY EAST TO A POINT FIFTEEN FEET WEST OF THE EAST LINES OF LOTS 12 AND 25, BE ABANDONED, VA- CATED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE- WITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the following described alleys in Block 8, South Side Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same are hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as alleys or public thoroughfares of any kind or character: The north-south alley from Anthony Avenue south to West Seminary Drive; and The east-west alley from the north-south alley east to a point fifteen (15) feet west of the east lines of Lots 12 and 25. SECTION 2. That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said alleys is hereby released and shall re- vert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law, save and except that easements are reserved for any and all existing utilities. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. Lee Roy.. Hahnfeld, with consent of all adjoining property owners, has requested that the City vacate the north-south alley in Block 8, South Side Addition from Anthony Avenue south to West Seminary Drive a width of 15 ft. and a length of 261 ft. ; and that portion of the east-west alley 12 ft. in width and 145 eft. in length in the same block from the north-south alley east to a point 15 ft. west of the east lines of Lots 12 and 25, as shown on the attached map. Subject rights-of-way, acquired by dedication, are unimproved. If this re- quest is granted, the Applicant intends to replat and to utilize the vacated rights-of-way for additional building area. There are existing utility faci- lities located within subject rights-of-way; however, the Applicant has made satisfactory relocation arrangements and has provided all necessary easements on a replat. City departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and have no objections provided the Applicant replats and furnishes thereon all necessary utility easements. The City Plan Commission has reviewed this re- quest and recommends adoption of an ordinance vacating the public rights-of- way as requested. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject rights-of-way as recommended by the City Plan Commission. RNL:mj Attach.
