Home My WebLink AboutContract 36729 AMENDMENT NUMBER 2 STATE OF TEXAS S CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. a �C�o COUNTY OF TARRANT S WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Gorrondona & Associates, Inc. , (CONSULTANT) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 32378, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C- 22048 on the loth day of April, 2007 and a contract amendment #1, City Secretary Contract No. 35307, dated May 21, 2007; WHEREAS, the Contract involves surveying services for the following project: Dirks Road from Bryant Irvin Road to Granbury Road WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 2 to said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee; the increase in fee is explained in two letters form Consultant dated November 2, 2007 and December 7, 2007; NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the Contract: 1. Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional surveying services specified in the proposal letters dated November 2, 2007, and December 7, 2007 copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional services to be performed by CONSULTANT total $18, 600 .00. 2 . Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the fee to be paid to CONSULTANT for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall be the sum of $86,750.00. An additional fee of $800.00 will be required for additional permanent slope easement document preparation. AMOUNT $ 2,400.00 4.) JOINT USE AGREEMENT DOCUMENT PREPARATION - Prepare one (1) joint use agreement document for the Fort Worth & Western Railroad that includes a legal description with exhibit to City of Fort Worth standards. An additional fee of$800.00 will be required for additional joint use agreement document preparation. DISCUSSION: On April 10, 2007, (M&C C-22048) the City Council authorized the City Manager to execute an agreement with Gorrondona and Associates, Inc., for professional land surveying services along Dirks Road from Bryant Irvin Road to Granbury Road in the amount of $45,900.00. The contract was to obtain surveying services related to Dirks Road and the Southwest Parkway. Services include deed research, right-of-way map, and preparation of three acquisition documents, annexation documents, and subsurface utility engineering services. The agreement was subsequently revised by Amendment No. 1 (City Secretary Contract No. 35307) to provide utility survey work and additional topographic survey in the amount of $22,250.00. It has been determined that additional right-of-way, temporary construction easements, utility easements, slope easements and joint use exhibits will be needed from property owners along Dirks Road from Bryant Irvin to Granbury Road. This proposed Amendment No. 2 will provide for this additional surveying and preparation of exhibits for these properties. Gorrondona and Associates is an M/WBE firm. This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 3, Mapsco 102B, 102C, and 102D.
