AN ORDINANCE REFERRING BIDS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF GRANBURY ROAD IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS TO THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT FOR A REPORT THEREON WHEREAS, bids for the construction of improvements on Grandbury Road in the City of Fort Worth, Texas, having been on the 21st. day of November 1960, opened and read, and the following persons had filed bids for the performance of such work or part thereof, to-wit: 1. Texas Bitulithic Company, Fort Worth, Texas 2. Worth Construction Company, Fort Worth, Texas NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION I That such Bids be, and the same are hereby referred to the Public Works Department which is directed to cause to be promptly filed with the City Council a report and recommendation thereon. SECTION II That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage. APPROVED AS TO FORM: 1�i/� "o'( City Attorney f ' CITY OF FORT WORTH TEXAS OFFICE OF THE CITY MANAGER Communication to Mayor and Council NO.PWO-6 2 December 2, 1960 Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council Re: Granbury Road, from the east City of Fort Worth line of Trail Lake Drive to 575' northeast of Cockrell Ave. Mrs. McKnight and Gentlemen: The City Council on October 28, 1960, adopted Ordinance No, 4387 approving the specifications and giving authority to receive bids for the construc- tion of paving on Granbury Road from the east line of Trail Lake Drive to 575 feet northeast of Cockrell Avenue at a total estimated cost of $225,000.00 and approved an appropriation request for $208,000.00 for the City's portion of the cost of the project. On November 21 , 1960, bids were received from Texas Bitulithic Company and Worth Construction Company for the construction of the above referenced project. It is recommended that an ordinance referring bids to the Public Works Department with instructions to file a report and recommendation with the City Council be adopted.
