by Commissioner Punter, that the ordinance be read in fall.
Motion was oarried and the ordinance was read in full by
the City Secretary.

WHIW,Aft, on the 38th day of Varah A. D. 1983,
a resolution of the Publio Reoreation Board. of the City
of Fort Vorth duly authorizing same, the President and
Secretary of said Board entered into oontmot with Mrs.
M. A. Clark and her husband Jemse Clark for the purohass
of a treat of land situated in Tarrant County and herein-
after fully described, as not forth in said contract,
to-wits
AND, WNF'RBAS', the Boar4 of Commissioners of the
City of Fort Worth and the Public Recreation Board of
said City, noting by and through its duly authorized of-
ficers, in oonjunation with the City, of Fort Worth, have
determined the necessity for the acquiring of preperty
for public recreation purposes under and by virtue of
authority of Chapter XVIII of the City Charter of the
City of Port Worth, said chapter having been adopted
by a majority of the qualified voters of the City of
Fort Worth at an election held for that purpose on the
22nd day of July, 1932, " it appearing to the Commis-
sion that the said Publia Reoreation Aoard eating by
and tbrough its ?resident and Secretary, thereunto duly
authorized, has entered into oontraot with Mrs. M. A.
Clark and her husband James Clark for the purchase of a
tract of land situated in Tarrant County and c;oa_sistirig
of 108.4 mores of land partloularly described in said
oontraot hereinbefore set out, which contract this Commis-
sion has determined to be to the best interest of the
City of Port Worth and that said purchase is desirable;

That said contract be and the same is hereby rati-
fied, confirmed, approved and adopted as the not and oontraot
of the City of Fort Worth, Texas:
That in accordance with said contract, there shall
be issued to the said Mrs. V. A. Clark and her husband
James Clark, City of Port Worth Warrants in the amount of
`Dirty Wine Thousand Nine Hundred ($39,900.00) Dollars, dated
Marsh Wth, 1923, to bear interest at the rate of six (e,f)
per oentum per annum, payable semi-annually on September 28th
and March 28th of emah year.
Raid warrants shall be delivered to said Vendors
upon receipt of deed to said tract of land, and shall become
due and payable as follows, to-wit:

The principal and interest of said warrants shall.

attested by the City Pecretary, and shall be signed by the
President of the Public Recreation Board, countersigned
by the Secretary of said Aoard, and countersigned and
registered by the City Auditor, and the seal of the
City shall be Impressed upon esah of them; the faa simile
signatures of the President of said Public Recreation Board
and the Secretary thereof and of the City Auditor may be
lithographed on the interest coupons attached to each of
said warrants.

incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas, is justly
indebted and hereby promises to pay to bearer on the 28th day
of March A. D. 19_, at the Hanover National Bank, New York,
N.Y., the suss of

in lawful money of the United 'States of America with interest
thereon fromdate hereof at the rate of six (81fS per oentum

moneys to the credit of the Recreation Fund created for said

is hereby pledged for the full and prompt payment of this
warrant and the interest hereon as it matures.
TRIP WARRANT is one of a series of warrants of like
date and toner, except as to denomination and maturity, num-
bered from one (1 to forty (40), inclusive, in the denomination
of One Thousand ( 1,000.00) Dollars, except warrant number one

an ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners of the City
of Fort Worth on the 88th day of March A. D . 1923, recorded
in Book , at pages et seq., of the Minutes of said
Board of"Womiissioners.
TRV, DATT of this warrant, conforming to the ordinance
above mentioned, is March 28th, 1923;

statutory, or charter limitation; and that sufficient and

BR IT FURT"R ORDAI1 D that, for the purpose of
paying the principal and interest of said warrants as sane
matures, there shall be annually levied on each $100 valuation
of taxable property in the Oity of Bort Worth a tax sufficient
for said purpose; that to provide for the payment of the
p,r3na pal and interest of said warrants for the year 1923,
there is hereby levied on each A100 valuation of broperty
a tax of one—half of one cent out of the tax of rive cents
authorised to be levied by the Board of Commissioners in
Soo. R of Chapter ViTi of the City Charter of the City of
Fort Worth, adopted duly 22, 1922, providing for the support
of the Public Recreation Department; that for the year 1924
and each succeeding year while any of said warrants are out—
istanding and unpaid, and at the time other City taxes are
levied in each of said years, there shall be computed and
ascertained what rate of tea, based upon the latest sp proved
tax rolls of said City will be su rfioleAt to fully raise
and produce in each of said years the amount of principal
and the interest maturing in said year, and for each of said
years there is hereby ordered to be levied, assessed and col—
looted out of said tax for the support of said Public Re—
creation a tax at such rate as shall be found necessary as
aforesaid, and all of said taxes so collected shall be placed
In the Fecreation Fund provided for the payment of principal
and interest of said warrants; and the City Commission of the
City of Fort Worth shall each year in making up its annual
budget include therein the amount of principal and interest
maturing in said respective years, including the year 19v3.
