AN ORDINANCE OLOSING IDA STREET AND THE
ALLEYS BETWEEN ZILLA AND IDA STREETS,
AND ALSO THE ALLEY NORTH OF ZILLA STREET
IN GARRETTIS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
FORT NORTH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMLiISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF FORT NORTH:
Section 1: That Ida Street and the alleys between
Zilla and Ida Streets, and also the alley north of 3illa
street in what is ".wn a&-t1m--Gar"t4---Addit ion to tbA _
City of Fort North, be, and the same are hereby vacated and
closed.
Section 2: This Ordinance is passed at the request of
S. H. Garrett, at al, who claimed to own all of the property,
or has made satisfactory arrangements with other owners in said
addition for the closing of the street and alleys set forth in
Section 1 of this ordinance.
Section 3: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
fords from and after its passage.

Dear Sir:
I hand you herewith extract from Minutes of the
proceedings of the Board of Commissioners with reference to
petition of S.H.Garrett et al.
As explained to you verbally the original papers
were referred to the Corporation Counsel who failed to draft
Ordinance as instruoted,likewise neglected to return papers,
for the Secretary' s file.
If you will pardon a suggestion from ae, I would
recommend that before any further action is taken that the
information at hand be referred to the City Engineer who is
doubtless famaliar with the whole matter and if -there is any
good reason why the petition should not be granted at this
time he would either know or can investigate the matter
further and make his recommendations to you direct.

Zilla Street. We recommend that the petition be granted and '
that the Corporation Counsel be instructed to draw proper

On motion of Commissioner Littlejohn the above report was
unanimously passed and adopted by the board and the Corporation
Counsel so instructed.
