AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ACCEPTING THE
WORK OF IMPROVING THE FOLLOWING STF3MT AND
PORTIONS THEREOF, TO WIT:
CRAWFORD STREET FROM THE NORTHERLY
LINE OF MORPHY STREET TO THE SOUTHER-
LY LINE OF MAGNOLIA AVENUE,
IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE EXECUTION AND ISSUANCE OF
SPECIAL ASSIGNABLE ASSESSMENT CERTIFICATES TO
TEXAS BITULITHIC COMPANY, THE CONTRACTOR PERFORM-
ING SAID WORK, AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE
SHALL TARE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY UPON ITS PASSAGE
AND APPROVAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS, DULY ASSEMBLED:
SECTION I.
That the work of improving the following street and
portions thereof in the City of Fort Worth, Texas, to-wit:
CRAWFORD STREET FROM THE NORTHERLY LINE
OF MORPHY STREET TO THE SOUTHERLY LINE
OF MAGNOLIA AVENUE,
by raising, grading, filling, widening, paving, repaving, or
repairing same, and by constructing, reconstructing or realigning
combined concrete curbs and gutters where determined necessary by
the Public Works Director, and by constructing or reconstructing
such other drains, drainage structures, incidentals and appurten--
encee thereto as deemed necessary and adequate by the Public Works
Director, and as provided for by the plans and specifications for
such improvements; said paving consisting of the construction or
reconstruction of a four (4) inch compacted gravel bass and the
construction or reconstruction of a three and one-half (3j) inch
hot mix asphaltic concrete base course on said foundation course,
and the construction thereupon of a wearing surface of one and
one-half (1j) inch hot mix asphaltic concrete surface course,
qll of the materials, types and widths as shown on end provided
for in the plans and specifications, and all of said improvements
having been performed and completed in full compliance with all
with all the terms and provisions of the contract dated April 23.
1952, between the said City of Fort Worth, Texas, and Texas
Bitulithic Company, approved by Ordinance No. 2957 of the City
Council of said City dated April 23, 1952, and said plans and
specifications therein contained; and said Public Works Director
having measured, examined, and caused to be tested the finished
improvements by the means and in the manner provided by the terms
of said contract and the plans and specifications therein contained,
and said Public Works Director having found that such improvements
have been constructed and completed in full compliance with all
provisions of said contract and said plans and specifications, and
said Public Works Director having approved and accepted said
work and improvements, and having heretofore issued his Certification
of Completion and Final Acceptance, and so certified to the City
Manager and to said City Council and recommended that said City
Council accept and receive said work and the improvements as con-
structed and completed by said Texas Bitulithic Co. and said work
and improvements having been found by the City Manager of said
City of Fort Worth, Texas, to have been performed and completed
in full compliance with said contract and said -plans and specifications
therefor, and having been accepted by said City Manager, said
work and improvements are hereby found by said City Council to
have been performed and completed by said Texas Bitulithic Company
in full compliance with the terms and provisions of said Contract
and said plans and specifications therefor, and same are hereby
accepted and received by said City Council of the City of Fort
Worth, Texas.
SECTION II.
That the Mayor and City Secretary of the City of
Fort Worth, Texas, are hereby authorized and directed to execute
and issue to Texas Bitulithic Company special assignable assessment
certificates evidencing the assessments levied against the
properties improved abutting upon the above described street and
against the real and true owners thereof, which, by the terms of

said contract, the City of Fort Worth, Texas, has agreed and
obligated itself to issue and deliver to said Texas Bitulithic
Co. in accordance with the provisions of the Final Assessment
Ordinance and other proceedings heretofore had and adopted by
said City Council; said Special Assessment Certificates shall
be executed in the name of said City by its Mayor and City
Secretary, and impressed with the seal of said City, and dated
as of the date hereof, and such officers are hereby anthorized
and directed to execute said certificates in their official
capacities on behalf of said City, and deliver same to said
Texas Bitulithic Co.
SECTION III:
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
from and after its passage.
