SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING JULY 11 1997 Date & Time On the 1st day of July, A.D., 199'7, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, met in special session, at 6:00 p.m., with the following members and officers present: Attendance Mayor Kenneth Barr; Mayor Pro tempore Eugene McCray; Council Members Jim Lane,Becky Baskin, Jeff Wentworth,and Ralph McCloud. City Manager Bob Terrell; City Attorney Wade Adkins, City Secretary Alice Church. Council Members Chuck Silcox, Clyde Picht and Cathy Hirt were absent. With more than a quorum present, the following business was transacted: Executive It was the consensus of the City Council that the City Session Council will meet in a closed session at 6:00 p.m. to seek the advice of its attorneys concerning the following pending litigation or other matters which are exempt from public disclosure under Article X, Section 9 of the Texas State Bar Rules: a) Julius Zimlich v. City of Fort Worth, Cause No. 9408668 b) Ballard. Vendors, Inc. Et al. V. City of Fort Worth, Cause No. 342-16904-97 c Regina Pay-ton v. Fort Worth Rifle and Pistol Clubs, Inc. and City of Fort Worth, Cause No. 17-165853-96 d Legal issues related to lease agreement with Fort Worth rifle and Pistol Clubs, Inc. e I lia er Johs for Progress, Inc. U.S. Department of Labor, Cause No. 96- 60256 as authorized by Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code. 2. To deliberate the purchase,exchange, lease or value of real property as authorized by Section 551.072 of the Texas Government Code. Deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the position of the City in negotiations with a third party.
