AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE HEREINAFTER DE- SCRIBED PORTIONS OF BRASWELL DRIVE AND DOOLING STREET, LAMPKIN STREET FROM BRASWELL DRIVE TO DOOLING STREET, AND THE FORTY-FIVE FOOT TRACKAGE EASEMENTS EXTENDING THROUGH BLOCKS 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 AND 7, IN DIAMOND HEIGHTS INDUSTRIAL ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Braswell Drive from the south right of way line of the Cotton Belt Railroad spur south a distance of 867.68 feet to the north right of way line of the proposed Long Avenue Ex- tension be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever. That Dooling Street from Braswell Drive to Interstate Highway 35W and from the east line of Maxwell Drive East east a distance of 418.2 feet be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever. That Lampkin Street from Braswell Drive to Dooling Street be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever. That the forty-five foot trackage easements extending through Blocks 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, Diamond Heights Industrial Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same are hereby extinguished, vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as easements. SECTION 2. That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said streets and easements is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as pro- vided by law. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. C. T. Development Corporation, owner of the Diamond Heights Industrial Addition, have requested the vacation of the streets and easements in the addition as shown on the attached map. Abandonment of the streets and easements will permit replatting the Diamond Heights Industrial Ad- dition to conform to the proposed Long Avenue Extension, A replat has been filed with the Planning Department and approved by the utility companies, af- fected City departments and the City Plan Commission. The .following is a_ list of the proposed closings: Braswell Drive - From the south right-of-way line of the Cotton Belt Railroad Spur south a distance of 867.68 feet to the north right-of-way line of the pro- posed Long Avenue Extension Dooling Street - From Braswell Drive to Interstate Highway 35W, and from the east line of Maxwell Drive East east a distance of 418.2 feet Lampkin Street - From Braswell Drive to Dooling Street .45-foot Trackage Easements - Extending through blocks 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, Diamond Heights Industrial Addition Private utility companies and affected City departments have reviewed the request and do not object to the proposed vacations, The City Plan Commis- sion has reviewed the proposed vacations and recommends the adoption of an ordinance that has been prepared vacating the streets and easements as rem quested.
