AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ADOPTING ESTIMATES OF
THE COSTS OF IMPROVEMENTS AND OF AMOUNTS TO BE
ASSESSED FGR.IMPROVFRENTS ON A PORTION OF
TRENTMAN STREET, IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,TEXAS,
FIXING TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING TO THE OWNERS
OF ABUTTING PROPERTY AND TO ALL OTHERS INTERESTED
AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO GI9E NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas,
has heretofore ordered that the hereinbelow mentioned portion of Trentman
Street in the City of Fort Worth, Texas, be improved by raising, grading
and filling same and by constructing thereon a 11 inch Hot %x Asphalt
Concrete Surface on a 7 finch Flexible Base, together with combined
concrete curbs and glitters where same are not already constructed on
proper4rade and line, together with incidentals and appurtenances in—
cluding drains where necessary, all as provided by the Plans and
Specifications for such improvements, and contract therefor has been
made and entered into with GENERAL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY.
WHEREAS, The City Council of the said City has caused the
Director of Public Works to prepare and file estimates of the cost of
such improvements, and estimates of the amounts per front foot proposed
to be assessed against abutting property and the owners thereof, and
such estimates have been examined; THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That such estimates be, and they are, adopted and approved.
SECTION 2.
That it is hereby found and detemi.ned that the cost of
improvements on such portion of Trentman Street, with the amounts per
front foot proposed to be assessed for such improvements against the
abutting property and the owners thereof, are as follows, to-wit:
On Trentman Street from the Northerly Line of
H�rti.n Street to the Southerly line of Oakhill
Street; the estimated cost of the improvements
is t71,858.37; the estimated amount per front
foot to be assessed against abutting property
and the owners thereof for curb and gutter is
$1.95; the estimated amount per front foot to
be assessed against abutting property and the
owners thereof for improvements exclusive of
curb and gutter is $1.72; total estimated amount
per front foot to be assessed against abutting
property and the owners thereof is $3.67.
SECTION 3.
That a hearing be given and held by and before the City
Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, to all owning or claiming any
property abutting upon said portion of Trentman Street and to all others
owning or claiming any interest in any such property. Such hearing shall
be given and held on the 27 day of March 19 57, at 10:00

1clock. A M., in the Council Chamber in a_Tity Ha=in the City of
Fort Worth,Texas, and the City Secretary is hereby directed to give
notice of the time and place of such hearing and of other matters and
facts in accordance with the terms and provisions of the Act passed at
the First Called Session of the Fortieth Legislature of the State of

Texas, known as Chapter 106 of the Acts of said Session, now shown as
Article 1105b of Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, which act has been adopted
as an amendment to and made a part of the Charter of the City of Fort
Worth, Texas. Such notice shall be by advertisement inserted at least
three times in a newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, Texas,
the first publication to be made at least ten (10) days before the date
of said hearing and said notice shall comply with and be in accordance
with the terms and provisions of said Act.
SECTION 4.
That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its
passage.

TO ALL OWNING OR CLAIMING ANY PROPERTY ABUTTING UPON THE HEREINAFTER
MENTIONED PORTIONS OF TRENTMAN STREET, IN TM CITY OF FORT WCRTH, TEXAS,
AND TO ALL OWNING OR CL&IMING ANY INTEREST IN ANY SUCH PROPERTY:
The City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, has
heretofore ordered that the hereinbelow mentioned portion of Trentman
Street, be improved b raising, grading and filling same and by con-
structing thereon a 12 inch Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete Surface on a Ti
inch Flexible Base (Gravel), together with combined concrete curbs and
gutters where same are not already constructed on proper grade and line,
together with incidentals and appurtenances including drains where
necessary, all as provided by the Plans and Specifications for such
improvements no7w on file with the City, and contract has been made and
entered into with GENERAL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, for the making and
construction of such improvements. Estimates of the costs of such
improvements for such portion of Trentman Street have been prepared.
The portion of Trentman Street so to be improved, together
with the estimated cost of the improvements and the amounts per front
foot proposed to be assessed against the abutting property and the
owners thereof are as follows:
Trentman Street, from the Northerly line of Martin Street,
to the Southerly line of Oakhill Street: the estimated cost of the
improvements is 01,858.3 7; the estimated amount per front foot to be
assessed a ainst abutting property and the owners thereof for curb and
gutter is $1.95; the estimated amount per front foot to be assessed
against abutting property and the owners thereof for improvements
exclusive of curb and gutter is $1.72; total estimated amount per front
foot to be assessed against abutting property and the owners thereof is
$3.67.
A hearing will be given and held by and before the City
Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, on the 27 day of March
A. D., 19, 57, at 10:00 o'clock ..�,A�_Id., in the
CouncilChamber in the City Hall in the City of Fort Worth, Texas, to
all owning or claiming any property abutting upon said portion of
Trentman Street, and to all owning or claiming any interest in any such
property. At said time and place all owning or claiming any such
abutting property or any interest therein shall be and appear and will
be fully heard concerning said improvements, the cost thereof, the
amounts to be assessed therefor, the benefits to the respective parcels
of abutting property by means of the improvements on the portions of
Trentman Street, upon which the property abuts and concerning the
regularity, validity and sufficiency of the contract for, and all
proceedings relating to such improvements and proposed assessments
therefor, and concerning any matter as to which they are entitled to
hearing under the law in force in the City of Fort Worth under which
these proceedings are taken and had and under the proceedings of the
City with reference to said matters. Following such hearing, assess-
ments will be levied against abutting property and the owners thereof,
and such assessments, when levied, shall be a personal liability of the
owners of such property and a first and prior lien upon the property as
provided by the law under which these proceedings are taken and had,
being the Act passed at the First Called Session of the Fortieth Legislature
of the State of Texas, known as Chapter 106 of the Acts of said Session,
now shown as Article 1105b of the Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, which
Act has been adopted as an amendment to and made a part of the Charter of
the City of Fort Worth.

Of all said matters and things, all awning,or claiming
any such property or any interest therein, as well as all others in
anywise interested or affected will take notice.
