AN' ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ADOPTING ESTIMATES
OF THE COSTS OF IMPROVEMENTS AND OF AMOUNTS TO
BE ASSESSED FOR IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF
JESSAMINE STREET, RAMSEY AVENUE AND PAGE STREET
IN THE CITY CF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, FIXING TIME
AND PLACE FOR HEARING TO THE OWNERS OF ABUTTING
PROPERTY AND TO ALL OTHERS INTERESTED, AND.
DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO GIVE NOTICE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth,
Texas, has heretofore ordered that the hereinafter described
and mentioned portions of Jessamine Street, Ramsey Avenue and
Page Street in the City of Fort Worth, Texas, be improved by
raising, grading, filling, widening, permanently paving or re-
paving same by the construction, reconstructions, repairing or
realigning of concrete curbs and gutters where adequate curbs
and gutters are not now installed on proper grade and line,
said permanent paving to be constructed to consist of 8-inch
reinforced concrete together with incidentals and appurtenances
including drains where necessary, all as shown and provided for
by the plans and specifications now on file with the City and
the contracts therefor have been made and entered into with
Worth Construction Company; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth,
Texas, has caused the City Engineer to prepare and file estimates
of the costs of such improvements, an estimate of the amounts
per front foot proposed to be assessed against abutting property
and the owners thereof, and the amounts proposed to be assessed
against any railway, street railway or interurban using, occupy-
ing or crossing such streets or avenue or any portion thereof,
and the owners thereof, and such estimates have been examined;
NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, THAT:

Such estimates be and they are hereby adopted and
approved.

It is hereby found and determined that the cost of
the improvements on each such portion of Jessamine Street,
Ramsey Avenue and Page Street, with the amounts per front
foot proposed to be assessed for such improvements against
the abutting property and the owners thereof are as follows,
to-wit:
On JESSAMINE STREET from the westerly line of South Main
Street to the easterly right of way line of the H&TC RR,
known and designated as UNIT N0. 1: the estimated cost of
the improvements is $i,4,26,3.20 ; the estimated amount per
front foot to be assessed against abutting property and the
owners thereof for curb and gutter is $2.05 ; the
estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against abut-
ting property and the owners thereof for improvements ex-
clusive of curb and guttersis $6.92 ; total estimated
amount per front foot to be assessed against abutting property
and the owners thereof is $8.97
On JESSAMINE STREET from the easterly right of way line of
the H&TC RR to the easterly line of Jennings Avenue,known
and designated as UNIT NO. 2: the estimated cost of the
improvements is $6,827.80 ; the estimated amount per front
foot to be assessed against abutting property and the owners
thereof for curb and gutter is $2.05 ; the estimated
amount per front foot to be assessed against abutting property
and the owners thereof for improvements exclusive of curb
and gutter is $6.92 ; total estimated amount per front
foot to be assessed against abutting property and the owners
thereof is 88.92
On RAMSEY AVENUE from the westerly line of South Main Street
to the easterly line of Jennings Avenue, known and designated
as UNIT NO. 3: the estimated cost of the improvements is
$ 20#299.00 ; the estimated amount per front foot to be assess-
ed against the abutting property and the owners thereof for
curb and gutter is $2.05 ; the estimated amount per front
foot to be assessed against abutting property and the owners
th?Wof for improvements exclusive of curbs and gutters is

is $8.97
On PAGE STREET from the westerly line of South Main Street
to the westerly right of way line of the H&TC RR, known and
designated as UNIT NO. 4: the estimated cost of the improve-
ments is $12,603.70 ; the estimated amount per front foot to
be assessed against the abutting property and the owners there-
of for curb and gutter is $ 2.05 ; the estimated amount
per front foot to be assessed against abutting property and the
owners thereof for improvements exclusive of curb and gutter is
$6.92 ; total estimated amount per front foot to be assess-
ed against abutting property and the owners thereof is
$8.97 .
Within the area between rails, tracks, double tracks, turnouts
and switches, and two feet on each side thereof, of any railway,
street railway or interurban, using, occupying or crossing such

streets or avenue, or any portion thereof, the estimated cost
of the improvements is $ 9oQ_oo ; the estimated amount to
be assessed against the owners thereof is t 9M.00
III.
A hearing is to be given and held by and before the
City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, to all owning
or claiming any property abutting upon said portions of
Jessamine Street, Ramsey Avenue and Page Street, and to all
owning or claiming the area between rails, tracks, double
tracks, turnouts and switches, and two feet on either side
thereof, of any railway, street railway, .or interurban, using,
occupying or crossing such streets, avenue, or any portion
thereof, and to all others owning or claiming any interest in
said property. Such hearing shall be given and held on the
jO-'W'day of A. D. 1952, at 9•'349olclock AM.,
in the Council Chamber,in the City Hall in the City of Fort
Worth, Texas, and the City Secretary is hereby directed to
give notice of the time and place of such hearing and of
other matters and facts in accordance with the terms and provi-
sions of the Act passed at the first called session of the
Fortieth Legislature of the State of Texas, known as Chapter
106 of the Acts of said Session, which is known and shown as
Article 1105-b of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, 1925,as
Amended, and which Act has been adopted as an amendment to and
made a part of the Charter of the City of Fort Worth, being
known as Section 17, Chapter XXIII of the Charter of said City.
Such notice shall be by advertisement inserted at least three
times in a newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, Texas,
the first publication to be Made at least ten days before the
date of said hearing and said notice shall comply with and be
in accordance with the terms and provisions of said Act.
IV.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage.
