AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT EASEMENTS AND PORTIONS
THEREOF IN BLOCKS 14 AND 25, CARVER HEIGHTS ADDITION,
BE VACATED* ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE
REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING THAT
THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH+
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described easements and portions
thereof situated in Blocks 14 and 25, Carver Heights Addition,
be extinguished, vacated, closed and permanently abandoned.
Said easements and portions thereof to be vacated or retained
being described as follows:
(a) The south 10' of 201 egress and ingress and utility
easement across Lot A, Block 25, Carver Heights Addition,
with the remaining north 10' to be retained and designated
as utility easement only.
(b) The west 15' of 20' egress and ingress and utility
easement along the east lines of Lots A thru H, J & K,
Block 25, Carver Heights Addition with the remaining
east 5' to be retained and designated as utility easement
only.
(c) The west 15' of 20' egress and ingress and utility
easement along the east lines of Lots A-H and LT-V,
Block 14, Carver Heights Addition with the remaining
east 5' to be retained and designated as utility easement
only and continuing westward across Lot W, Block 14,
Carver Heights Addition with the remaining South
5' in Lot W, Block 14, Carver Heights Addition to
be retained as utility easement only.
(d) The 10' egress and ingress easement collinear
with the common line of Lots L & M, Block 14, Carver
Heights, a distance of 100' eastward from the east
right-of-way of East Loop 820 South Service Road.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described easements
being vacated is hereby released and will revert to the adjacent
owners as provided by law, save and except that easements are
reserved for any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 3.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby .repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage and
it is so ordained.

Carb Payne and Sudderth owner of Lots A-H, J & K, Block 25 and Lots
A-H and J-W, Block 14, Carver Heights Addition, has requested that the
City vacate easements as follows:
The south 10' of 20' egress and ingress and utility easement across
Lot A, Block 25, Carver Heights Addition, with the remaining north
10' to be designated--ss-utility easement only.
The west 15' of 20' egress and ingress and utility easement along the
east lines of Lots A thru H, J & K, Block 25, Caryer-Iieights Addition
with the remaining east 5' to be designated as utility easement only
The west 15' of 20' egress and ingress and utility easement along the east
lines of Lots A-H, J-V, Block 14, Carver Hts. Addn with the remaining east
5' to be designated as utility easement only and continuing vestward sctays.

The 10 egress and ingress easement collinear with the common line of
Lots L & M, Block 14, Carver Heights, a distance of 100' eastward from
the east right-of-way of East Loop 820 South Service Road.
All of the above easements are within the property owned by Carb, Payne
and Sudderth with none of the requested easements being directly adjacent
to property owned by other than the Applicant. A map is attached de-
picting the easements to be vacated.
Subject easements, acquired by dedication, are in use and contain elec-
tric facilities; however, easements of sufficient size are being main-
fained'`to prOtect the existing Texas Electric Service Company facilities.
Review City Departments and private utility companies have no objections
to this request provided a satisfactory replat of the property is sub-
mitted to City Staff.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that
an ordinance be adopted vacating subject easements as requested. A
satisfactory replat has been submitted to the City Staff.-

Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating easements as
recommended by the City Plan Commission.
