AIT ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT A PORTION OF

"IHEREAS, it appearing to the City Council, of the
City of Fort :'north, that that portion of I."anchester Street
east of Boyd Street and extending east beyond Archer Street,
hereinafter described is no longer necessary as a public
street or thoroughfare and that it is to the best interest
of the public that said portion of said street be closed,
abandoned and vacated as a public thoroughfare.

That that portion of ITanchester Street east of
Boyd Street and extending east beyond Archer Street in Univer-
sity place, an addition to the City of Fort 'forth, Tarrant
County, Texas, more particularly described as follows:
"A strip of land approMmately 30 feet in width
extending east from the east line of Boyd Street 155
feet to U.- tivrest line of the alley between Boyd ttreet
and Archer Street thence from the east line of the 15
foot alley above Lscrib trip 30 feet wide 160
feet to the west line of Street ; a strip 3b feet
wide beginning �t�� he east ine of Archer Street ex-
tending 63 feed all of which has been desigmated as
7anchester �)treet, in University Place Addi$ion, an addi--
tiol. to the City ®f r®rt '"orth, Tarrant County, Texas,
be and the same is illereby vacated, closed and permanently
abandoned as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or
chlaract er.

SBOTION II.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III.
That this ordinance shall tall effect and be
in full force and effect from and after the date of its
passage.

and-would and-would respectfully show to tFis honorable body
that they ar dulyqualified citizens and residents of
the City of ort Worth, Tarrant ounty, Texas, and, as
such, are the owners in fee simple title to all of
certain lands adjacent to and abutting Manchester Street,
which street is located in University Place Addition
to the City of Fort Worth. Your petitioners donated to
the City of Fort Worth a strip thirty feet in width
along their said proper era f s id�nchester Street,
which street begins at6 rc;henue aid continues to
the River, and at the present time said Manchester Street
is of a width of thirty feet and no more•
Your petitioners further show that this street
constitutes no use, benefit or enjoyment to the public
at large and, therefore, your petitioners request that
this honorable body pass an ordinance closing and vacating
said Manchester Street, in its entirety, and authorize
proper conveyances of the land constituting this street
from the City of Fort Worth to your respective petitioners
herein as their right, title and interest may appear.
