Texas, met in regular session in the Counell Chamber at the
City Hail at 9:30 A. H. Tuesdays the 5th day of January, A.
D. 1926, and upon roll call the followIng were premont s
H. C. 1e Obais, MRyor, Willard Burton, T. B. Hoffer, A: R.
Thomas, William Bryce, E. T. Renfro, William Msnnig, a. 1.
Austin and L, P. Card, counsllmen, constituting the entire
membership of said Board, and t. .L. Van 7.andt, dr., City
9eeretary-Treasurer, was in attendance at said meting and
the following proceedings, among other things, were had and
done.
Councilman Burton, seconded by councilman Austin,
moved the adoption of the following ordinance:

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS IV AND V OF ORDI-
NA2tCE NO. 1106 PAMED DECEMM 29TH 1925, BY PROVIDING FOR

In Ordinance No. 1106 to create a slaking fund for the pay-
ment and complete extinguishes, t of the bonded debt, principal
and interest, authorised by said Ordinance, is insufficient,

SECTION I.
That seotions TV and V of Ordinance No. 1106
passed at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Fort 'Worth, Texas, on the 29th day of December, 1, D,
1925, be and the same are hereby amended, and after being so
ascended, shall read as follows:
SECTION IV- That for the purpose of creating
a sinking fund for the payment and complete extingtdeftent
of the foregoing bonded debt, principal and interest, and all
and every part of same, there is hereby levied and there
shall be assented and collected as provided by law, set apart
and a. propriated for the said purpose, an annual, direct
special ad valorem tax for the year 1926, and every suacessive
year thereafter during the life of said bonded debt or any
part thereof of $4237 (or such an amount as may be necessary
and adequate, be it more or less) on eve.•y one Hundred ($100,00)
Dollars of property valuation, real, personal and mixed, sub-
ject to taxation, and not ex=pt therefrom under the Constitu-
tion and law of the Mate of Texas, situated and owned in the
City of Fort Worth on the lot day of January 1926, and on the
let day of January of each year thereafter until said debt
represented by said bonds and coupon interest notes shall
have been fully said, and if, at any time, such tax should be
insufficient$ then it shall be the du of the ,City Council or
any other governing body of the City of Fort farth, to set
apart and appropriate such Additional amount of money out of
the general revenues of the said vity, a3 mayb a requisite
to supply the deficiency until all intere-A small have been
paid and the sinking fund ostablished as required, by the Con-
stitution of the State of 2oxas and the Obarter of the City of
Fort Rarth,
SECTION V- That it shall b o the duty of the
City Council of the City of Fort north and its suooessors,
and the government of the City of Fort North, by levying
tames .for general purposes for the said City of Fort Worth
for the year 1020, and for every successive year during the
life of said bonded debt or any part thereof, to include in

such levy the special tax of $.0237 on the one hundred
(6100.00) Dollar property valuatt on (or so much thereof as
may be requisite and neaeasary) provided for in the neata
preceding section of this ordinance, and such spatial tax
shall on no account whatsoever be displaead therefrom.

ing, submitted the motion to adopt said ordinance, and all
of the Oouncilmen* including the Mayor, voted Kaye" thereon,
and none voted "no", and the motion to adopt the ordinance
was declared to be'unaxlaftsly passed and adapted.
