HomeMy WebLinkAboutIR 9096INFORMAL REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS No. 9096 The purpose of this report is to provide the City Council with regular updates regarding the efforts of the City of Fort Worth and its regional partners to successfully apply for and secure grant funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). On August 10, 2009, we held the second of two training sessions for representatives from departments that may receive ARRA grants and selected internal support departments. A representative from Internal Audit presented about its role in ensuring accountability and provided guidance about what grant administrators can do to avoid audit findings. Although some state and federal agencies have released information about grant awards, and there may be information in the media about local grants, we will only report via Informal Report and through the city's website about those grants for which we have received written notice of award and for which we have final signed contracts with the granting agencies. There are no new projects to include on the City's website this week. A summary of the total dollar amount of applications submitted and approvals received for the City of Fort Worth is listed below.
