AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2311, BEING AN OR- DINANCE REFERRING BIDS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS AND THOROUGHFARES IN THE CITY OF FORT 'NORTH, TEXAS, TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC 'WORM FOR A REPORT THERECN, BY ADDING THERETO PORTIONS OF NORTH CALHOUN STREET AND NORTHEAST EIGHTH STREET. WHEREAS, on the Sth day of May, 1946, Ordinance No. 2311 was adopted, which included, among other thoroughfares, portions of North Calhoun Street and Northeast Eighth Street, but by inadvertence portions of those streets were not included when the minutes of the meeting were transcribed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 23U be amended so as to include portions of North Calhoun Street and Northeast Eighth Street, which were by error left out of the minutes of the Council meeting of May 8th, and the ordinance, after being amended, shall read as follows: SECTION 1. That bids for the construction of improvements of North Cal- houn Street, from the southerly line of Northeast Sixth Street to the southerly line of Northeast Seventh Street; North Com- merce Street, from the southerly line of Northeast Fourth Street to the southerly line of Northeast Eleventh Street; North Houston Street, from the southerly line of Northwest Fourth Street to the southerly line of Northwest Trinity Ave- nue; North Throckmorton Street, from the southerly line of North- west Fifth Street to the northerly line of Northwest Eighth Street; Fourth Street, from the easterly line of North Houston Street to the westerly line of North Commerce Street, save and except the intersection of North Main Street; Fifth Street, from the easterly line of North Throekmortbn Street to the westerly line of North Commerce Street, save and except the intersections of North Main Street and North Houston Street; Sixth Street, from the easterly line of North Throckmorton Street to the westerly line of North Calhoun Street, save and except the in- tersections of North Commerce Street, North Main Street and North Houston Street; Seventh Street, from the easterly line of North Throckmorton Street to the easterly line of North Calhoun Street, save and except the intersections of North Commerce Street, North Main Street and North Houston Street; Northwest Eighth Street, from the easterly line of North Throckmorton Street to the westerly line of North Houston Street; Northeast Eighth Street, from the easterly line of North Main Street to the westerly line of North Commerce Street; Northwest Trinity Avenue, from the westerly line of North Houston Street to the westerly line of North )chin Street; Northeast Ninth Street, from the eAsterly line of North Main Street to the westerly line of North Commerce Street; Northeast Eleventh Street, from the easterly line of North Main Street to the easterly line of North Commerce Street; North Calhoun Street, from the northerly line of Northeast Seventh'Street to the southerly line of Block E, North Fort Worth Addition; and the southerly line of Lot 12, Block 244, North Fort Worth Addition- and Northeast Eighth Street (North Fort Worth Addition, from the easterly line of North Commerce Street to the westerly line of North Calhoun Street, in the City of Fort Worth, Texas, having, on the let day of May, 1946, been opened and read in open meeting of the City Council and the following persons having filed bids for the performance of such work or part thereof, to wit: Austin Road Company, Dallas, Texas; Texas Bitulithic Company, Dallas, Texas; General Construction Company, Fort Worth, Texas; and Brown & Root, Houston, Texas, that said bids be and the same are hereby referred to the Department of Public Works, which is directed to cause to be promptly filed with the City Council a report and recommendation thereon.
