ORDI'dANCE ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON A PORTION OF _ BARNETT STREET
AND PORTIONS OF SUNDRY OTHER STR.yTS, AVENUES AND PUBLIC PLACES
IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS; ISCLARING THE CONTRACT WITH
S.R.O. ASPHALT, INC. FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID
IMPROV71-ITNTS FOULLY COMPLETED AND PERFORMED; DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE,
EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDDCE OF SPECIAL ASSESS-
MVENTS LEVI3D AFTER GIVING EFFECT TO SUNDRY CREDITS HE)iTIN AUTHORIZED
AND ALLOWED AGAINST SOME OF SAID ASSESSMERTS; DIRECTING THE CITY
SECRETARY TO ENGROSS AND MIROLL THIS OI DI"ANCE BY COPYING THE CAP-
TION OF SAME IN THE MINUTE: BOOB OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF FORT WCKTH,
TEXAS, AND BY FILING THE COMPLETE ORDINANCE IN APPROPRIATE ORDINANCE
RECORDS OF SAID CITY; AND PROVIDING AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHER?AS, the City of Fort Worth, Texas, has heretofore entered into a contract
with S.R.O. ASPHALT, INC. for the making and construction of certain
street improvements on the hereinafter described portions of streets, avenues and public places
in said City, to-wit:
1. BARNETT STREET: From Montclair Drive to Queen Street, known and
designated as unit No. 4.
2. RICE LANE: From the east line of Holt Street east 100' known
and designated as Unit No. 7.
3. RADFORD ROAD: From Turner Street to the south line of Lot 109
Blk. 4, Sandy Acres Addition, known and designated
as Unit No. 8.
4. COLEMAN STREET: From Avenue J to Avenue M, known and designated
as Unit No. 10.
WMFAS, by sundry proceedings heretofore passed by the City Council of the
City of Fort Worth, Texas. including Ordinance No. 477R , a portion of the cost of
said improvements was levied and assessed against the respective properties abutting on each
of the above described portions of streets, avenues and public places and against the real
and true owners thereof; and,
WH 'TAS, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, has, upon re-
view, found and determined that, in some instances, in order to effect substantial justice
and equality, it is desirable and necessary to grant and issue certain credits against
some one or more of the assessments levied by Ordinance No. 477g , and
WHMIAS, the street improvements hereinabove mentioned have been completed
upon each of the portions of streets, avenues and public places hereinabove described, and
have been inspected and found t,o be in complete accordance with the contract therefor;
NOW, TH;BEFORE,
BE IT OI3DAIN-ED BY TIE CITY COUNCIL OF T_HT CITY OF FORT WORTH,
Tr'XAS, THAT:
I.
The improvements on each of the portions of streets, avenues and public
places hereinabove described be, and they are hereby, accepted; and the contract with re-
ference thereto be, and it is hereby, found and declared fully completed and performed,
II.
The Mayor, be, and he is hereby, directed to issue and execute in the name
of the City, certificates in evidence of the special assessments levied against abutting
property and the owner thereof for such improvements, and the City Secretary is directed
to attest same and impress thereon the corporate seal of the City, all in accordance with
the proceedings relating to such improvements and assessments. The certificates shall be
numbered, shall describe the property against which the assessment has been levied, shall,
where known, state the name or names of the true owners of the respective parcels of pro-
perty assessed and shall be issued in an amount equal to the difference between the
principal amount of the assessment and the amounts of any credit issued thereon. The numbers
of the certificates, with the property descriptions to be shown on the respective certifi-
cates, to,=ether with the names of the owners of sail property, the principal amount of the
assessment, the respective credits, if any which are hereby authorized, granted and allowed
against the principal amount of some one or more of the assessments heretofore levied, and the
principal amount for which each certificate is to be issued after giving effect to such credit,
if any, are hereby enumerated and itemized as follows:

When each of the certificates has been duly executed as hereinabove provid-
ed, same shall be delivered to the Tax Assessor-Collector as part payment of the contract
price.
IV.
The City Secretary is hereby directed to engross and enroll this ordinance
by copying the caption of same in the Minute Book of the City Council of Fort Worth, Texas,
and by filing the complete ordinance in the appropriate Ordinance Records of said City.
V.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its passage.
