ORDINANCE NO. 2 11
AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING T RRITORY FROM WITHIN OFFICIAL RECORD
THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF TF� CITY OF FORT WORTH; PRE- CITY SECRETARY
SCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE. FT. WORTH, TEX.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That the following described territory within the corporate limits of the City
of Fort Worth is hereby discontinued as a part of the City of Fort Worth and said
tract of land is described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEING a tract of land about 11 miles southeast from the Courthouse
of Tarrant County, Texas, lying in and including all or part of the Blocks
44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 22
and 23 of the Shelby County School Land, J. B. Renfro, R. C. Richey, J.
Snider, E. L. Snider, S. Pryor, J. Wilson, J. Snider, G. Garcia, Michlozee,
W. Davidson, J. Korticky, H. G. Catlett, H. G. Catlett, Hiram Little, Gent N.
Hunt Survey, and being more fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northwest corner of Block 55 of the Shelby County
School Land Survey;
THENCE east, along the north line of Block 55 of the Shelby County
School Land Survey, to its intersection with a city limit line of Kenne-
date, Texas;
THENCE southeasterly, and south along the city limit line of the City
of Kennedale to its intersection with the north line of Andrews Oaks Addition;
THENCE west, along the north line of Andrews Oaks Addition, 400 feet to
its northwest corner;
THENCE south 89 degrees, 38 minutes west along the west lines of Lots
1, 2, 3, u and 5 of Andrews Oaks Addition 500 feet to the southwest corner
of said addition;
THENCE east, along the south line of Andrews Oaks Addition hOO feet
to its intersection with the City Limit Line of the City of Kennedale;
THENCE south and east, along the City Limit Line of the City of Kenne-
dale, to a point in the north line of the J. B. Renfro Survey, and continuing
east along the north line of the J. B. Renfro Survey, to its northeast cor-
ner, inihe west line of the R. C. Richey Survey;
THENCE north, along the west line of the R. C. Richey Survey to the
City Limit Line of the City of Kennedale;
THENCE east, along the City Limit Line of the City of Kennedale to its
intersection with the west right-of-way line of County Road No. 2025;
THENCE south, southwesterly, and south along the westerly right-of-way
line of County Road No. 2025 with its meanders to its intersection with the
north right-of-way line of County Road No. 2037;
THENCE west, along the north right-of-way line of County Road No. 2037
to its intersection with the west right-of-way line of County Road No. 1063
produced north;
THENCE south, along the west right-of-way line of County Road No. 1063
produced north, to and along the west right-of-way line of County Road No.
1063, to its intersection with the north right-of-way line of County Road
No. 1095;
THENCE west, along the north right-of-way line of County Road No. 1095,
to its intersection with the northeasterly right-of-way line of County Road
No. 1015;
THENCE northwesterly, along the northeasterly right-of-way line of
County Road No. 1015 to its intersection with the middle of Village Creek;
THENCE up the middle of Village 'reek, with its meanders, in a south-
westerly direction, to its intersection with the westerly right-of-way line
of the I & G N R.R.;
THENCE northwesterly, along the westerly right-of-way line of the I &
G N R.R. to a point 100 feet south from the south line of Block 19, Shelby
County School Land Survey;
THENCE east, along a line parallel to and 100 feet south from the south
lines of Blocks 19, 24, and 33 of the Shelby County School Land Survey, to a
point 200 feet east from the west line of Block 34, Shelby County School
Land Survey;
THENCE north, along a line parallel to and 200 feet east from the west
lines of Blocks 34 and 33 of the Shelby County School Land Survey, to its
intersection with the north line of Block 33, Shelby County School Land Survey;
THENCE east, along the north lines of Blocks 33, 38, and 47, Shelby County
Land Survey to a point 200 feet east from the west line of Block 47, Shelby
County Land Survey,
THENCE north, along a line parallel to and 200 feet east from the west
lines of Blocks 47, 46, and 45, Shelby County School Und Survey, to its
intersection with the north line of Block 45, Shelby County School Land
Survey;
THENCE east, along the north line of Block 45, Shelby County School
Land Survey, to its intersection with the middle of Village Creek;
THENCE down the middle of Village Creek, with its meanders, in a north-
easterly direction to its intersection with the west line of Block 55,
Shelby County School Land Survey;
THENCE north, along the west line of Block 55, Shelby County School
Land Survey, to the place of beginning and containing approximately 8.3
square miles.
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in con-
flict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance Nos.
4560, heretofore adopted and passed on December 1, 1961, 3822 and 3837, heretofore
adopted and passed on May 16, 1958, but as to all other ordinances or sections of
ordinances not in direct conflict hereknth this ordinance shall be and is hereby,
made cumulative.
Section 3.
If any section, subsection or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid
or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the portion so held to be
invalid or unconstitutional shall not affect any other part of the ordinance, which
shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4.
This ordinance, after it has been duly passed, shall be entered as an order
on the minutes and permanent records of the City of Fort Worth, from and after the
date of its entry, the territory hereinbefore described shall cease to be a part
of the City of Fort Worth.
Section 5.
That this Ordinance shall become effective and shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, and it is so ordained.
