FT. WORTH, TEA.
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT PORTIONS OF CERTAIN
STREETS AND CERTAIN ALLEYS,IN THE CITY CF FORT
WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE VACATED, CLOSED
AND ABANDONED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE
FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CON-
FLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING THAT-THIS ORDINANCE
SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That the following described portions of Forest Avenue, Handley Drive
and South Street and the adjacent alleys south of State Highway Spur No. 303
be, and the same are hereby, closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as
public streets, thoroughfares or alleys of any kind or character whatever:
Forest Avenue - from the northerly line of South
Street to the southerly line of
State Highway Spur No. 303;
Handley Drive - from the northerly line of South
Street to the southerly line of
State Highway Spur No. 303;
South Street - from the southeasterly line of
State Highway Spur No. 303 to the
east line of Halbert Street;
All of that portion of the alley lying between
Blocks 27 and 28 of the original town of Handley,
Tarrant County, Texas, - from the north line of
South Street to the southerly line of State High-
way Spur No. 303.
All of that portion of the alley lying between
Blocks 25 and 26 of the original town of Handley,
Tarrant County, Texas, - from the northerly line
of South Street to the southerly line of State
Highway Spur No. 303, save and except easements
be reserved for any and all existing utility lines,
including the existing gas and water mains.
Section 2.
That the fee to the land in said street is hereby released and will
revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law, save and except easements
be reserved for any and all existing utility lines, including the existing
gas and water mains.
Section 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
Section 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage.

Tho' City of Fort Worth has received a request from Texas (Electric Service
Company for the closiof irf Forest Avenue, *W dley Drive, South Street
and the 4WJaa0+ alloys south of State Hifhw4ky Spur No. 303. The Texas
F1e6tric Service Coiipany rs the sole owner of adjacent pr6perty to the
streets requesteo to 'be closed.
The` Pub l i'c Works-VOpir'4ent has made an i nvest i git'i on 04' fNi s requested
closing and has fodhO 6 objections, provided easements'#6 reserved for
the existing vtility liMls within those streets and alleys. The streets
