AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 89, OF ORDINANCE NO.
340AHERETOFORE PASSED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH SO THAT SAID SECTION 89 SHALL READ AS
HEREINAFTER PROVIDED;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH:
SECT. l.- THAT Section 89 of Ordinance No. 340 be and the same
is hereby amended so as to read as follows:
Section 89; Every building or structure hereafter
erected or altered within the t1re limits shall be composed
wholly of Brick, Stone or Portland Cement Concrete, or shall
be enclosed on all sides with walls constructed wholly of the
aforesaid material, ev- if apprsved by the Building Inspector,
M , other hard incombustible materials except that buildings covered
by the following Sections of part 14 of the Building Ordinance
may be (permitted, if in the judgment of the Building Inspecto8,
public safety is not endangered thereby.
Section 2: That Section Ill of said Ordinance 340
be and the same is hereby re-enacted,
Section 111: Any person or persons, firm or corporations
violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance, or failing to
c onfrom to any 'of the provisions thereof or failing to obey any
orders of the Buildiig Inspector or Chief of the Fire Department,
or Fire Marshal or Board of Appeals in pursuance hereof, shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be
subject to a penalty or a fine of not less than five dollars nor;{
more than $200.00, the same to be in the discretion of the court,
dependent upon the character of the act involved . And the con-
tinued violation shall constitute a separate offense. Any archi-
tect, civil engineer, builder, plumber, carpenter, mason, con-
tractor, sub-contractor, foreman or employe who shall assist in
the tiolation of this Ordinance or of any order or permit issued
thereunder shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon corrt'otion
thereof, shall be subject to the penalties above specified.
Section 3: This Ordinance shall be in force and take
