Beach Street The March 10, 2009, City Council agenda will contain an M &C to initiate the zoning process for 4200 - 4400 blocks of Heritage Glen Drive and 8800 - 8900 and 9700 - 9800 blocks of N. Beach Street, which lie south of Heritage Trace Parkway, east of Old Denton Road, and north of N. Tarrant Parkway. The purpose of the proposed zoning changes is to rezone vacant land to zoning classifications that are consistent with the proposed 2009 Comprehensive Plan. For your reference, the attached PowerPoint presentation shows the future land use from the proposed 2009 Comprehensive Plan, the current zoning, and the proposed zoning. Councilmember Espino mailed letters to the affected property owners regarding the proposed zoning changes in November 2008. One response has been received to date. The public hearings for the rezoning of these properties would be held on April 8, 2009, at the Zoning Commission meeting and at the City Council meeting of May 5, 2009.
