AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT A PORTION OF CONCORD STREET
LYING AND BEING BETWEEN BLOCKS 2 AND 4, M. E. BROWN'S
SUBDIVISION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY,
TEXAS, BE VACATED, CLOSED AND ABANDONED; PROVIDING FOR
THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS
ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
WHEREAS, although the hereinafter described portion of Concord Street
appears on a recorded plat as a public thoroughfare, it has never been used
by the public as a street; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the best interest of the public that this portion
of said street be permanently closed and abandoned to public use; NOW, THERE-
FORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the following described portion of Concord Street be and the
same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or putir
lie thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever:
All that portion of Concord Street lying west of Bonnie
Brae Boulevard and lying between Block 2 and Block 4,
M. E. Brown's Subdivision to the City of Fort Worth,
Tarrant County, Texas.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the aforesaid area is hereby released and will re-
vert to the adjacent owner as provided by law, save and except that an ease-
meet is reserved for public utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby appealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and ef-
fect from and after the date of its passage.
