AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE ALLEY THROLM BLOCK 18, UNION DEPOT ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE ABANDONED, VACATED AND CLOSED; AND PROVIDING FOR THE RE- VERSION OF THE FEE TO SAID LAND. WHEREAS, it appearing to the City Council of the City of Fort Worth that the alley through Block 18, Union Depot Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, has never been used by the public and that it is to the best interest of the public that said alley be closed, aban- doned and vacated as a public thoroughfare and the fee to the land in said alley revert as provided by law; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the alley through Block 16, Union Depot Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, being from Illinois Avenue to Tennessee Avenue, be and the same is hereby vacated, closed and permanent- ly abandoned as an alley or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever, said closing, however, being subject to the following conditions: 1. That a permanent easement be retained for the existing utility lines; and 2. That no permanent structure be placed over the sanitary sewer without arrangements being made to replace the present line with cast iron pipe under the structure. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in said alley above described is hereby released and will revert to the owners as provided by law, subject to the reservation and restriction-hereinabove set out. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and ef- fect from and after the date of its passage.
