HomeMy WebLinkAboutIR 8999INFORMAL REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS To the Mayor and Members of the City Council December 2, 2008 A Page 1 of 1 SUBJECT: Proposed Council - Initiated Zoning Changes for the 9900 to 10700 Blocks of Trinity Boulevard, 3000 Block of Greenbelt Road, and 3100 Block of Bell Spur Drive The December 9 City Council agenda will contain an M &C to initiate the zoning process for the 9900 to 10700 blocks of Trinity Boulevard, 3000 block of Greenbelt Road, and 3100 block of Bell Spur Drive, which lie east of Bell Spur Drive, south of Hurst Boulevard (SH 10), and west of House Anderson Road. The purpose of the proposed zoning changes is to rezone vacant land and an existing frac pond to zoning classifications that are consistent with the 2008 Comprehensive Plan. For your reference, the attached PowerPoint presentation shows the future Iand use from the 2008 Comprehensive Plan, the current zoning, and the proposed zoning. Councilmember Moss mailed letters to the affected property owners regarding the proposed zoning changes in May 2008. No opposition has been received to date. The public hearings for the rezoning of these properties would be held on January 14, 2009, at the Zoning Commission meeting and at the City Council meeting of February 2.
