AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE
BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN
SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF
SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER;
AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WC1RT'fi'", TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City
of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits
and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being
situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds
as follows:
Beginning at the most northerly northwest corner in the
present city limit line of Edgecliff Village, said point also
being in the present City of Fort Worth city limit line and
in the east right of way line of State Farm-to-Market Road
#731 approximately 760 feet south of the south right of way
line of Southwest Loop #217;
Thence in a northeasterly direction along the present City
of Fort Worth city limit line and the east right of way line
of State Farm-to-Market Road #731, approximately 760 feet to
its intersection with the south right of way line of Southwest
Loop #217,
Thence in an easterly direction along the present City of
Fort Worth city limit line and the south right of way line of
Southwest Loop #217, approximately 430 feet to its intersection
with the west right of way line of James Street;
Thence east with the present City of Fort Worth city limit
line across James Street approximately 50 feet to its east right
of way line;
Thence south along the present City of Fort Worth city limit
line and the east right of way line of James Street approximately
1,150 feet to its intersection with the north right of way line
of County Road #1002, said point being a present corner in the
City of Fort Worth city limit line;
Thence west with the present city limit line of Edgecliff Vil-
lage and the north right of way line of County Road #1002 approxi-
mately 50 feet to its intersection with the west right of way
line of James Street;
Thence north with the present city limit line of Edgecliff Vi1-
la,ge and the west right of way line of James Street approximately
740 feet to a corner in the present city limit line of Edgecliff
Village, said cornea Wing the most northerly northeast corner
of Edgecliff ViLl e;
Thence west with the present city limit line of Edgecliff Vil-
lage approximately 730 feet to the place of beginning, and contain-
ing approximately eleven (11) acres of land more or less.
SECTION 2.
That this ordinance shall be published one time in the Fort Worth Press,
a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with
the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and
effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty
(30) days from the date of its publication as aforesaid, and it is so or-
dained.

DESCRIPTION FOR ANNEXING
JAMES STREET AND ADJACENT PROPERTY
TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH
Being an eleven (11) acre tract of land out of the M. Arocha Survey situated
south of the Southwest Loop, west of and including James Street and north of
County Road #1002 and being more fully described as follows:
Beginning at the most northerly northwest corner in the present city limit
line of Edgcliff Village, said point also being in the present City of Fort
Worth city limit line and in the east right-of-way line of State Farm-to-Market
Road #731 approximately 760' south of the south right-of-way line of South-
west Loop P17;
THENCE in a northeasterly direction along the present City of Fort Worth city
limit line and the east right-of-way line of State Farm-to-Market Road #731,
approximately 760t to its intersection with the south right-of-mW line of
Southwest Loop #217;
THENCE in an easterly direction along the present City of Fort Worth city limit
line and the south right-of-way line of Southwest Loop #217, approximately 43O1
to its intersection with the west right-of-way line of James Street;
THENCE east with the present City of Fort Worth city limit line across James
Street approximately 501 to its east right-of-way line;
THENCE south along the present City of Fort Worth city limit line and the east
right-of-way line of James Street approximately 1,1501 to its intersection with
the north right-of-way line of County Road #1002, said point being a present
corner in the City of Fort Worth city limit line;
THENCE west with the present city limit line of Edgcliff Village and the north
right-of-way line of County Road #1002 approximately 501 to its intersection
with the west right-of-way line of James Street;
THENCE north with the present city limit line of Edgcliff Village and the west
right-of-way line of James Street approximately 7401 to a corner in the present
city limit line of Edgcliff Village, said corner being the most northerly north-
east corner of Edgcliff Village;
THENCE west with the present city limit line of FAgcli.ff Village approximately
730' to the place of beginning and containing approximately eleven (11) acres
of land more or less.
