AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIIDLITS AND ANNEX-
ING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED
IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORD-
ANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII
OF THE CITY CHARTER; AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City
of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and
made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situ-
ated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as
follows.
BEGINNING at a point in the present City of Fort Worth
City Limit Line, said point being in the east line of
Dr. Harris Road (County Road No. 1012) and the north
line of Benbrook-Cardinal Chaplin Road (County Road No.
1040);
THENCE east along the present City of Fort Worth City
Limit Line in the north line of County Road No. 1040
to its.intersection with the westerly east line of the
L. B. Creswell Survey produced north;
THENCE south along said line to the interior corner
of the L. B. Creswell Survey;
THENCE south along the easterly west line of the L.
B. Creswell Survey to its southerly southeast corner,
a corner of the J. F. Elliott Survey;
THENCE south along the J. F. Elliott Survey line to
its northeasterly interior corner,
THENCE east along the J. F. Elliott Survey line to
its intersection with the westerly east line of the
J. F. Elliott Survey produced north;
THENCE south along said line to the most westerly
southeast corner of the J. F. Elliott Survey;
THENCE west, along the south line of the J. F. Elliott
Survey to its most easterly southwest comer, in the
east line of the G. H. & H. RR Company Survey;
THENCE south along the east line of the G. H. & H.
RR Company Survey to its easterly southeast corner;
THENCE west along the northerly south line of the
said survey to its southeasterly interior corner;
THENCE south along the most westerly east line of
said survey to its intersection with the south line
of County Road No. 1024.;
THENCE westerly along'the south line of County Road
No. 1024., with its meanders, to its intersection with
the west line of Tarrant County;
THENCE north along the west line of Tarrant County
to its intersection with the south line of U. S. High-
way No. 80 (west);
THENCE east along the south line of U. S. Highway
No. 80 (west), with its meanders, to its intersection
with the present Fort Worth City Limit Line, in the
west line of the N. Casteel Survey;

THENCE south, east and north along the present City of
Fort Worth City Limit Line to the place of beginning.
and containing approximately 10.7 square miles.
SECTION 2.
That this ordinance shall be published one time in The Fort Worth
Press, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance
with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XMII of the City Charter,
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and
effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty
(30) days from the date of its publication, as aforesaid, and it is so
ordained.
Presented and passed on first reading Friday, the day of
