AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING TERRITORY FROM CITY SECRETARY
WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF 4
FORT WORTH; PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; FT. WORTH, TEX AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH:
Section 1.
That the following described territory within the corporate limits of the
City of Fort Worth is hereby discontinued as a part of the City of Fort Worth and
said tract of land is described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the present city limit line of the City
of Fort Worth, in the north right-of-way line of Melbourne Road, at
its intersection with the west boundary of Block 17, Clyde W. Mays
Addition produced north, said point also being in the present city
limit line of the City of River Oaks.
THENCE south, along the west boundary of Block 17, Clyde W. Mays
Addition produced north, and along the west boundary of Block 17,
Clyde W. Mays Addition, the present city limit line of the City of
Fort Worth and the city of River Oaks, to the southwest corner of
said block.
THENCE west, along the south boundary of Block 17, Clyde W. Mays
Addition produced west, to its intersection with the east right-of-way
line of Frontier Street.
THENCE north, along the east right-of-way line of Frontier Street
and along said line produced north, to its intersection with the north
right-of-way line of Melbourne Road, the present city limit line of
the City of Fort Worth and the City of River Oaks.
THENCE east, along the north right-of-way line of Melbourne Road,
the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth and the City of
River Oaks, to the place of beginning and containing approximately .004
square miles.
Section 2.
If any section, subsection or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid
or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the portion so held to be
invalid or unconstitutional shall not affect any other part of the ordinance, which
shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 3.
This ordinance, after it has been duly passed, shall be entered as an order on
the minutes and permanent records of the City of Fort Worth, from and after the date
of its entry, the territory hereinbefore described shall cease to be a part of the
City of Fort Worth.

Section 4.
That this Ordinance shall become effective and shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, and it is so ordained.
