ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE SPECIFICATIONS FILM BY THE
PUBLIC WORICS DIRECTOR FOR TH8 IMPROVEI4UKT OF A PORTION
OF THE VARIOUS STREETS AT SIX LOCATIONS IN THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the Public 'krks Director on the 18th day of December,
1959, filed with the City Council complete Specifications for the improvement
of a portion of the Various Streets at Six Locations, as follows:
BRYAN STREET: from the south line of Ripy to the north line
of Butler Street, known and designated as Unit 1.
BRYAN STREET: from the north line of Butler Street to the
north line of Dickson Street, known and designated as Unit 2.
SOUTH GROVE STREET: from the north line of Ripy Street to
the south line of Shaw Street, Unit 3A, and Unit 3B, from the
south line of Shaw Street to the north line of Bowie Street,
known and designated as Unit 3.
TRINITY STREET: from the southerly line of West Freeway (also
known as West Rosedale) to the southerly line of Rutledge Street,
known and designated as Unit 4.
140NTGOMERY STREET: from the south line of Seventh Street to
the nort}a line of Camp Bowie, known and designated as Unit 5.
ELLIS AVENUE: from the north line of 23rd Street to the south
line of 25th Street, known and designated as Unit 6.
SECTION 1.
That the same be and are hereby approved as the Specifications under
which said work shall be done.
SECTION 2.
That the City Secretary is hereby directed to advertise for Bids
for the construction of the said improvements in accordance with the said
Specifications, which advertisement shall be inserted one or more times in the
Fort Worth Press, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Fort Worth,
and shall call for sealed Bids for the said work, to be filed with the City Council
on or before theyth day of �atnuai^y,',l ';, at 10:00 A.M. ,upon which date such bids
shall be opened and read as prescribed by the City Charter. That the first publi-
cation of said advertisement shall not be less than ten (10) days before the date
herein set for opening of Bids.
SECTION 3.
That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.

TO BE FILED WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS
TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH:
Herewith we hand you Specifications for the improvement of a portion of
streets at Six locations, as follows:
BRYAN STREET: from the south line of Ripy Street to the north line of
Butler Street, known and designated as Unit 1.
BRYAN STREET: from the north line of Butler Street to the north line
of Dickson Street, known and designated as Unit 2.
SOUTH GROVE STREET: from the north line of Ripy Street to the south
line of Shaw Street, Unit 3A, and Unit 3B, from the
south line of Shaw Street to the north line of Bowie
Street, known and designated as Unit 3.
TRINITY STREET: from the southerly line of West Freeway (also known
as West Rosedale) to the southerly line of Rutledge
Street, known and designated as Unit k.
MONTODMERY STREET: from the south line of Seventh Street to the north
line of Camp Bowie, known and designated as Unit 5.
ELLIS AVENUE: from the north line of 23rd Street to the south line of
25th Street, known and designated as Unit 6.
We have included in said specifications as directed by the Ordinance of
the City Council ordering said work Specifications for the following materials; to-
wit:
A. 5" Reinforced Concrete Pavement
B. 6" Hot-mix Asphaltic Concrete Pavement
C. 1j" Hot-mix Asphaltic Concrete Surface Course, 5" Reinforced Concrete
Base Course
D. 1j" Hot-mix Asphaltic Concrete Surface Course, 7" Cement Stabilized
Gravel Base
S. A" Hot-mix Asphaltic Concrete Surface Course, 7j" Crushed Limestone
Base
F. 5" Hot-mix Asphaltic Concrete, 10" Crushed Stone Base
G. 7" Concrete Pavement
H. 1j" Hot-mix Asphaltic Concrete Surface, 6" Concrete Base
