AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEX- ING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY N57SPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORD- ANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; PRESCRIBING A SAVING CLAUSE AND SPECIFYING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: Section 1. That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: BEING a tract of land about 5 miles east from the Court House of Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in and including all or part of the S. Elliott, J. F. Redding, L. 0. Tinsley, A. C. Warren, R. Cross, J. Lynch, P. T. Welch, J. Blackwell, E.D.I. & M. Railroad Co., J. W. Haynes, J. Brockman, H. Robinson, J. H. Conner, W. R. Reeder, and W. F. White Surveys, and being more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the middle of the Trinity River at its intersection with the east line of a 100 foot strip of land annexed by Ordinance No. 3561, said point being in the east line of the W. R. Reeder Survey; THENCE up the middle of the Trinity River in a westerly direction and along the southerly line of said 100 foot strip to a point 100 feet south of the south line of the S. Elliott Survey; THENCE west parallel to and 100 feet south of the south line of the S. Elliott Survey crossing the east line of the L. G. Tinsley Survey and along the south line of said 100' strip to a point 100 feet west of the east line of the L. G. Tinsley Survey; THENCE north 100 feet west of and parallel to the east line of the Tinsley Survey and along the west line of said 100 foot strip to a point in the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line said point being in the north line of the Howard Haltom Road (County Road No. 3084); THENCE along the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line in a westerly, southerly, and southwesterly direction along the northerly and westerly line of the Howard Haltom Road (County Road No. 3084) and along the westerly line of said road extended to a point in the south line of East First Street; THENCE east along the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line, along the south line of East First Street to a point, said point being in the east line of a tract of land owned by the City of Fort Worth upon which is situated a sewage disposal plant; THENCE south along the east line of said tract, along the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line, approximately 2695 feet to a point, said point being 300 feet north of the north line of the Wm. Edwards Survey produced west; THENCE east along the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line 300 feet north of and parallel to the north line of the Wm. Edwards Survey produced west and 300 feet north of and parallel to the north line of the Wm. Edwards Survey to its intersection with the easterly line of Randol Mill Road (County Road No. 2021); THENCE north, northeasterly, and easterly along the easterly line of Randol Mill Road (County Road No. 2021) to its intersection with the east line of the W. R. Reeder Survey produced south; THENCE north along the east line of the W. R. Reeder Survey produced south, to and,along the east line of said Survey to the place of beginning, and containing approximately 1.13 square miles. Section 2. That this ordinance shall be published one time in a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter. Section 3. If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordinance is for any reason held void, or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections, subsections, clauses, sentences, phrases or words, except as the same are inseparable from and indispensable to the remaining portions of the ordinance. Section 4- That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty 00) days from the date of its publication, •as•aforesaid, and-it is so ordained.
