The purpose of this Informal Report is to provide information to the City Council recommendini
the adoption of the resolution requesting financial assistance from the Texas Water Developme
(TWDB). Each year funds for low interest rate loans are made available to water and sew
utilities from the TWDB through the State Revolving Fund (SRF) program.
CLEAN WATER STATE REVOLVING FUND PROGRAM
The City of Fort Worth identified $74,515,000 in State of Texas Clean Water State Revolvi
Funds (CWSRF) loan projects in the FY2008 Intended Use Plan (IUP) submitted in Februa
2007 to the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB). In September 2007, the TWDB approv
the City of Fort Worth IUP. I
To be able to use the proposed FY 2008 CWSRF loan funding the City • Fort Worth must make
formal financial application to the TWDB including the resolution approved by the City Council.
he TWDB would approve the application in October 2008. The Texas Water Development Board
WSRF Program does not require that all loan funding be taken immediately, or in one large
sum. The initial fund request for all or a portion can wait up to eight quarters • until October 2010
and remaining funds can be requested at later date.
The current plan for the Water Department is to request funding for the East Fort Worth Reclai.--9
Water Project ($16,085,000) during 2009. The remaining funding would not be requested un
2010 or 2011, depending the completion of the project design and acquistion of requir
easement and permits. I
