HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 2925 AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE RATES OF THE SOUTHWESTERN BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY AT THE GREATER FORT WORTH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT Whereas, the business firms operating within the Greater Fort Worth International Airport have an urgent need for adequate telephone service within the Airport area, and Whereas, these business firms and the general public utilizing the facilities of the Airport will require service with the City of Fort Worth, as well as service with other points, and whereas, the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company is anxious to do its part in furnishing telephone service for the Airport, and has installed exchange telephone facilities at the airport for the purpose of meeting the telephone requirements at the airport, and Whereas, the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company has ap- plied to the City of Fort Worth for authorization of rate treatment covering telephone service furnished to customers within the Greater Fort Worth International Airport and the surrounding area included within the city limits of Fort Worth: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH: Section 1: That the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company is hereby authorized to place into effect the following charges for service, furnished to customers within the Greater Fort Worth Inter- national Airport and the surrounding area included within the city limits of Fort Worth: - 2 r Class of Service Monthly Rate One Party Business, Flat Rate $10.00 Business Extension, Flat Rate 1.50 One Party Residence, Flat Rate 4.50 Two Party Residence, Flat Rate 3.75 Four Party Residence, Flat Rate 3.00 Residence Extension 1.00 Semi-Public Guarantee, Per day .20 Messages under the guarantee, each .05 Messages over the guarantee, each .04 Commercial PBX Trunks 15.00 Commercial PBX Stations 1.50 Measured Rate - Hotel PBX Trunks (mo. Guar. ) 10.00 Section:2: That a charge of 15¢ for 5 minutes, with 5¢ for each additional 2 minutes, shall apply for calls from the air- port and surrounding area customers to other customers within the Fort Worth city limits, and vice versa. Section 3: That pay station service shall be made avail- able to customers within the sport and surrounding area whereby the general public may place calls to other telephones within the Fort Worth city limits at a charge of 150 per 5 minute call, with additional minutes charged for at 5¢ for each 2 minute period. Section 4: That except for the rate schedule authorized herein for exchange service within the Greater Fort Worth Inter- national Airport and surrounding area included within the city limits of Fort Worth, the provisions of Ordinance No. 2586, passed September 15, 1948, shall continue in full force and effect. - 3 - Section 5: That rates for Miscellaneous Services and Facilities furnished within the Airport and surrounding area shall be the same as those authorized by Ordinance No. 2849, passed Feb- ruary 14, 1951. Section 6: That private line and extension line facilities between customer locations in the Airport and surrounding area and other customer locations within the Fort Worth city limits shall be furnished at the following charges: Rate Per Month Interoffice channel facilities 16 miles @ $3.50 per mile $56.00 Terminal channel facilities, each terminal, First mile or fraction thereof 3 .00 Each additional 1/4 mile, or fraction thereof .75 Installation or outside move charge, each terminal, 43.50. Section 7: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after 3`4_4 , 1952. Passed and approved is the_ja�4day of , 1952.
