AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE TEN FOOT EAST-WEST
ALLEY ADJACENT TO THE FORMER LOTS 1, 2, 7 AND 8,
BLOCK 8, SOUTH MAIN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, WHICH ALLEY LIES
EAST OF FORMER S. BRYAN STREET, BE ABANDONED,
VACATED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION
OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID
LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE-
WITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the ten foot east-west alley adjacent to the former
Lots 1, 2, 7 and 8, Block 8, South Main Addition to the City
Of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, which alley lies east
Of former S. Bryan Street closed by Ordinances Nos, 997 and
554, be and the same is hereby 'vacated, closed and permanently
abandoned as an alley or public thoroughfare of any kind or
character whatever.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City Of Fort worth in the fee
to the land in said alley is hereby released and shall revert
to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law,
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or Parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its Passage.

REED Sangamon Grain Company, owner of all abutting property, has requested that
the City vacate a 10 foot east/west alley adjacent to the former Lots 1, 2,
7 and 8, Block 8, South Main Addition (east of former S. Bryan Street closed
by City Ordinances 997 and 554) , as shown on the attached map.
Subject right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is neither paved nor open and
contains no public facilities. Reviewing City departments and private
utility companies have no objections to this request.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends an ordinance
be adopted vacating subject right-of-way as requested.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-way
as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
