AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT POM IONS OF TERRACE AVENUE
IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE
ABANDONED, CLOSED AND VACATED, PROVIDING FOR TM REPEAT.
OF -ALL CRDINAI`,iOES CE PORTIONS OF ORDINANCES IN WNFLICT--
HEREWITH AND PROVIDING THAT THIS CADIIUNCE BE DOMIATE-
LY EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, it appearing to the City Council of the City of Fort
Worth, Texas, that the following described portions of Terrace Avenue
in said City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, to wit:
1. Beginning at the most northerly northwest corner of Lot
42, Block 227, North Fort Worth Addition to the City of Fort
Worth, Texas; thence in a southeasterly direction along the
southwesterly line of Lots 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47 and 48 of
said Block 227, to the most southerly southwest corner of said
Lot 48; thence in a westerly direction, said line making an
angle with the last described line of 45 degrees 0 minutes to
a point in the northeasterly line of the Jacksboro Highway;
thence in a northwesterly direction along the northeasterly
line of said Highway to the place of beginning.

Block 226, North Fort Worth Addition; thence in a northwesterly
direction along the southwesterly line of Lots 29, 28, 27, 26,
25, 240. 239 229 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16 and 15, said Block 226,
to the most westerly corner of said Lot 15; thence in a souther-
ly direction, said line making an angle with the last described
line of 45 degrees 0 minutes to a point in the northeasterly
line of the Jacksboro Highway; thence in a southeasterly direc-
tion along the northeasterly line of said Highway to a point in
the northerly line of Lot 13, Block 130, North Fort Worth Addi-
tion; thence in an easterly direction along the northerly line
of said lot to the place of beginning.
3. Beginning at a point, the most northerly northwest corner
of Lot 30, Block 227, North Fart Worth Iddition; thence in a
southerly direction along the southwesterly line of Lots 30, 31,
32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40 and 41 to the most westerly
corner of said Lot 41, said point being also in the northeasterly
line of the Jacksboro $ighway; thence in a northwesterly direction
along the northeasterly line of said Highway to a point where the
easterly line of Terrace Avenue running along the westerly lines
of Lots 26, 27, 28 and 29 produced south would intersect, the
easterly line of said Highway; thence in a northerly direction
along said easterly line of Terrace Avenue produced to the place
of beginning.
are no longer necessary for a public street or highway and are rendered use-
less and unnecessary to the public by virtue of the construction of the Jacks-
boro, Highway along and abutting on said portions of said Terrace Avenue above
described, and that it is to the best interests of the public that said por-
tions of said street be closed, abandoned and vacated as a public thoroughfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION I.
That the following described portions of Terrace Avenue in the
City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, to wit:
1. Beginning at the most northerly northwest corner of Lot 42,
Block 227, North Fort Worth Addition to the City of Fort Worth,
Texas; thence in a•southeasterly direction along the southwest-
erly line of Lots 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47 and 48 of said Block
227, to the most southerly southwest corner of said Lot 48;'
thence in a westerly direction, said line making an angle with
the last described line of 45 degrees 0 Yinutes to a point in
the northeasterly line of the Jacksboro Highway; thence in a
northwesterly direction along the northeasterly line of said
Highway to the place of beginning.
2. Beginning at a point, the most southerly corner of Lot 29,
Block 226, North Fort Worth Addition; thence in a northwesterly
direction along the southwesterly line of Lots 29, 28, 27, 26,
25, 24, 239 22, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16 and 15, said Block 225,
to the most westerly corner of said Lot 15; thence in a souther-
ly direction, said line making an angle with the last described
line of 45 degrees 0 minutes to a point in the northeasterly
line of the Jacksboro Highway; thence in a southeasterly diree-

the northerly line of Lot 13, Block 130, North Fort Worth Addi-
tion; thence in an easterly direction along the northerly line
of said lot to the place of beginning.
3. Beginning at a point, the most northerly northwest corner
of Lot 30, Block 227, North Fort Worth Addition; thence in a
southerly direction along the southwesterly line of Lots 30, 31,
32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 379 38, 39, 40 and 41 to the most westerly
corner of said Lot 41, said point being also in the northeasterly
line of the Jacksboro Highway; thence in a northwesterly direction
along the northeasterly line of said Highway to a point where the
easterly line of Terrace Avenue running along the westerly lines
of Lots 26, 27, 28 and 29 produced south would intersect, the easter-
ly line of said Highway; thence in a northerly direction along said
easterly line of Terrace Avenue produced to the place of beginning*
be and the same are hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as a
ptrest or public thoroughfare of any kind or character.
SECT1= 11.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION III.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and,
affect from and after the date of its passage.
