An Ordinance vacating a part of Block 180 of the M. G.
Ellis Addition to the City of Fort Worth, situated in what was
formerly known as North Fort Worth, the same being a strip of
land 23.5 feet wide by 137 feet long and running parallel with
the South line of North 20th Street: Whereas for the purpose
of properly improving a portion of North 20th Street, it becomes
necessary to straighten said Street so as to make it conform to
the balance of said street in the immediate section thereof; and.
WHEREAS, that portion of North 20th Street situated
South of lot 22 in Block 180 of the M. G. Ellis Addition to
what was formerly North Fort Worth is over the general North
line of North 20th Street 23.5 feet and extends East 137 feet,
thereby throwing that portion of said street 23-j feet wider
than the general 60 feet width of other portions of said street;
and,
WHEREAS, said Street in its irregular and present
shape is not susceptible to proper improvements; now, therefore;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH:
Sec. 1. That that portion of North 20th Street lying
immediately South of lot 22 of Block 180 of the M. G. Ellis
Addition to what was formerly North Fort Worth, be and the
same is hereby vacated, and the use of said property shall
vest in the abutting owners as is by law in such cases made
And provided; said portion of said North 20th Street hereby
vacated is described as follows:
Beginning at a stake, the South-west corner of Lot
22, Block 180, of the M. G. Ellis Addition; thence South 23.5
feet; thence East 137 feet; thence North 23.5 feet to the
South-east corner of said Lot 22, Block 180; thence West
along the South line of said Lot 22, Block 160, 137 feet
to place of beginning; said strip when so vacated leaving
said North 20th Street of a uniform width of 60 feet.

Sec. 2. This Ordinance shall be in force and effect
from and after its passage.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Ordinance was
duly presented and unanimously passed and adopted by the Board of
Commissioners of the City of Fort Worth at a regular session of
said Board held Tuesday, August 1st, A. D. 1916.
