AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10 OF CHAPTER 1 OF TITLE VII OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH BY CHANGING SAID SECTION AS SHOWN BELOW; PRDVIDING THAT IT SHALL BE UNLAWFUL TO DISCHAFd E FIRE ARMS OF ANY DESCRIPTION OR OTHER EXPLOSIVE MATTER OR MAKE ANY BONFIRE IN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF FORT WORTH; MAKING EXCEP— TICNS THERETO; REPEALING ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF ALL OTHER ORDINANCES AFFECTING FIRE ARMS OR EXPLOSIVES EXCEPT IN THOSE INSTANCES IN WHICH A CONFLICT EXISTS; FIXING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF OF A FINE IN ANY SUM NOT LESS THAN ONE DOLLAR ($1.00) NOR MORE THAN ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00); AND FIXING THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION I: That Section 10 of Chapter 1 of Title VII of the Remised Ordinances of the City of Fort Worth be amended so that said Section shall hereafter read as follows: Section 10: Explosion of Powder, etc. — — It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to shoot off, fire or discharge, any gun, pistol-revolver or any fire arms of any description, or to fire, explode or to set off any squib, fire cracker, torpedo, roman candle, any sky rocket or other thing containing powder or other explosive matter, or to throw any fire ball, or make any bonfire in the corporate limits of the City of Fort Worth, and any person or persons violating the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon con— viction thereof, shall be fined in any sum of money not less than One Dollar ($1.00) nor more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00). Nothing in this section of this chapter shall be so construed as to prohibit discharge of fire arms on premises owned or operated by any branch of the Armed Service of the United States Government, Texas National Guard, or Texas State Guard or any responsible organization existing for the purpose of operating and maintaining a rifle or pistol firing-range pro- viding such discharge is in the course of the regular functions and course of training of such branch of the Armed Service, Texas National Guard, Texas State Guard or such organization and providing further such branch of the Armed Service, Texas National Guard, or Texas State Guard, or organization has secured and holds a permit from the City Council of the City of Fort Worth so to do on the premiass involved. SECTION II. That this ordinance shall be cumulative of all of the provisions and sections of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Fort Worth and other ordinances of the City of Fort Worth relating to the regulating of the discharge of fire arms and fire works except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such provisions, in which instances said conflicting provisions are expressly repealed. SECTION III. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after the date of its passage and publication as required by law.
