AN ORDINANCE REFEREING BIDS FOR TIM IMPROVEMENT OF
PORTIONS OF UNIVERSITY DRIVE Ib THE CITY OF FORT
WORTn, TEXAS, TO TiiE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR
A REPORT TXMMN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WCRTH, TEXAS:
SMCCTION 1.
That bids for the construction of improvements on University Drive, from the
South Right-of-Nay Line of the Texas and Pacific Railroad to the north end of
the bridge over the Clear Fork of the Trinity River in Forest Park, known and
designated as Unit No. 1, togetner with University Drive from the south line
of Crestlins Road to the sc4th Right-of-Way Line of the Texas and Pacific
Railroad, save and except the portion included in the State Hignway Department
Expressway, known and designated as Unit No. 2, having on the 16th day of
November, 1950, been opened and read and the following persons have filed
bids for the performance of such Mork, or part thereof, to-nits
General Construction Company, Fort Worth, Texas
Worth Construction Company, Fort North, Texas
Texas Bitnlithic Company, Fort Worth, Texas
Uvalde Construction Company, Dallas, Texas
Brown & Root, Inc., Fort Worth, Texas
That such bids be, and the same are hereby referred to the Department of
Public Works which is directed to cause to be properly filed witn the City
Council a report and recommendation thereon.
SICTION 2.
That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.

Refderimg to the report of the Department of PaDlic Works in connection
with Bids for the improvement of University Drive from the south right-of-way
line of the Texas and Pacific Railroad to the bridge over the Clear Fork of
the Trinity River in Forest Park, known and designated as Unit No. 1, and
University Drive, from the south line of Crestline Road to the soutn right-of-
way line of the Texas and Pacific Railroad, save and except the portion in-
cluded in the State xighway Department Axpreseway, known and Designated as
Unit Bo. 2, and to the proposed Contract tnerefor, it appears that the amount
which the City will pay in connection with eaen Contract and Improvements
is the sum of One Hundred Ninety Seven Thousand, Five xundred Ninety Seven
Dollars ($197,597.00)
I do nereoy certify to the City Council of the City of Fort Worth,
Texas, that the 1Pn4W required for amen Contract and expenditures wnich
will be incurred tnereby is in the treasury to the credit of the Street
Improvement Fund and not appropriated for any other purpose.
