ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AMID ANNEXING
CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH;
PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWS-
PAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVI-
SIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER RXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER;
AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City
of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits
and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory be-
ing situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and
bounds as follows:
Beginning at a point in the present City of Fort Worth
city limit line in the west line of Beach Street, said
point being just west of the northeast corner of the J. C.
McComas Survey;
Thence north along the west line of Beach Street 25
feet westerly from and parallel to the east line of the
Mary Johnson Survey to a point in the north line of the
said survey, said point being 25 feet west of its most
easterly northeast corner;
Thence west along the most southerly north line of
the Mary Johnson Survey to a corner, and continuing west
across the west portion of the Mary Johnson Survey and
across the W. Baker Survey to a point in the west line of
Deer Road, said point being 2640 feet south and 25 feet
west of the northwest corner of the said W. Baker Surrey;
Thence south along the west line of Deen Road 25 feet
west of and parallel to the west line of the W. Baker Sur-
vey to a point in the present City of Fort Worth city limit
line at the southwest corner of Deen Road and Terminal Road;
Thence in a southerly and easterly direction along the
present City of Fort Worth city limit line to the place of
beginning, and containing approximately 2.28 square miles of
land.
SECTION 2.
That this ordinance shall be published one time in The Fort Worth
Press, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in ac-
cordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City
Charter.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and
effect upon 4+- final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty
(30) days from the date of its publication, as aforesaid, and it is so
ordained.
