AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT CERTAIN STREETS AND ALLEYS
IN SPRING PARK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TAR-
RANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE VACATED, CLOSED AND ABANDONED;
PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PRO-
VIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IM-
MEDIATELY.
WHEREAS, although the hereinafter described areas appear on a recorded
plat as public thoroughfares, they have never been opened for public use
and it is deemed to the beat interest of the public that they be vacated,
closed and permanently abandoned as streets, alleys or public thoroughfares;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the following streets and alleys in Spring Park Addition to the
City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same are hereby va-
cated, closed and permanently abandoned as streets, alleys or public thorough-
fares of any kind or character whatever:
Locke Avenue from the east line of Spring Street to the
southerly line of the East-West Freeway;
An unnamed street between Blocks "C° and "F" from Vickery
Boulevard to Locke AVV&V";
An unnamed street between Blocks "E" and "F" on the west
and Block "G" on the east from Vickery Boulevard to the south
line of the East-West Freeway;
The alley through Block "F," Spring Park Addition; and
The alley through Block "G," Spring Park Addition.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in said streets and alleys is hereby released
and will revert to the adjacent owners as provided by law, save and except
that an easement is reserved for any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are here-
by repealed.
SECTION .
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and ef-
fect from and after the date of its passage.
