AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING CER-
TAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PRO-
VIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER
PUBLISHID IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF
SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; AND PRESCRIB-
ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OV THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City
of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought Within the corporate limits
and made an integral pert of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being
situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds
as follows:
Beginning at a point in the present City of Fort
Worth city limit line, said point being in the north line
of Meadowbrook Drive and the west line of the S. C. Culver
Survey;
Thence south along the west line of the S. C. Culver
Survey to the southwest corner thereof;
Thence east along the south line of the S. C. Culver
Survey to the northwest corner of the J. Wilcox Survey;
Thence south along the west line of the J. Wilcox
Surrey to a point in the center line of Village Creek;
Thence in a northerly direction along the center
line of Village Creek, following the meanderings thereof,
to a point in the north line of the J. Smith Survey, said
point being in the present City of Fort Worth city limits;
Thence west with the present City of Fort Worth city
limits and along the north line of the J. Smith Survey to
the northwest corner thereof;
Thence south along the present City of Fort Worth
city limits and along the west line of the J. Smith Survey
to a point in the north line of Meadowbrook Drive;
Thence west, south and southwest along the north,
west and northwest line of Meadowbrook Drive and along the
present City of Fort Worth city limit line to a point in the
west line of the S. C. Culver Survey, said point being the
place of beginning, and said described tract of land contain-
ing approximately .575 square miles.
SECTION 2.
That this ordinance shall be published one time in the Fort Worth
Star-Telegram, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in
accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City
Charter.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall become effective and be in fall force
and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than
thirty (30) days from the date of its publication as aforesaid, and it
is so ordained.
