HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 3826 ORDINANCE NO. � AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH: PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER xXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER: AND.PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: Section 1. k That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the present City of Fort Worth city limit line at its intersection with the south line of County Road No. 1007, in the east line of County Road No. 1012; THENCE westerly to and along the southerly line of County Road No. 1007, with its meanders to its in- terseation with the east line of the N. S. Laney Survey; THENCE south with the said east line of the N. S. Laney Survey to its southeast corner; THENCE west along the south line of the said N. S. Laney Survey to its southwest corner, and continuing west along the said south line produced west to its intersec- tion with the west line of Tarrant County; THENCE north along the west line of Tarrant County to its intersection with the south line of State Farm to Market Road No. 1886; THENCE easterly along the southerly line of State Farm to Market Road No. 1886 to its intersection with the east line of County Road No. 4031; THENCE along the east line of County Road No. 4031, with its meanders to its intersection with the present City of Fort Worth city limit line; THENCE in a southeasterly direction along the. present City of Fort Worth city limit line, with its meanders t the place of beginning, and containing approximately i2_9 square miles. Section 2. That this ordinance shall be published one time in The Fort Worth Press, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter.
