ORDINANCE NO.,"2_7
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEX-
ING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED
IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORD-
ANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII
OF THE CITY CHARTER; AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City
of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and
made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situ-
ated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as
follows:
Being a tract of land lying west of the City of Fort
Worth in J. Wilcox Survey No. 38, T. Smallwood, D.
Perry, S. Best, J. L. Billington, W. E. Boswell, .E. T.
Rice, E. W. Billingston, S. L. Hovens, Thomas Hicks,
A. L. Hill, M. Hunt, J. Wilcox No, 36, J. Wilcox No,
39, J. Wilcox No. 40, J. Wilcox No. 42, J. Wilcox No.
43, J. A. McCarty, 0. K. Davis, S. A. & M. G. RR Co.
and D. P. Newsom Surveys in Tarrant County, Texas;
BEGINNING at a point in the present City of Fort
Worth.City Limit Line, at its intersection with the
north line of the J. Wilcox .Survey No. 34;
THENCE west along the north lines of the J. Wilcox
Survey No. 34 to and along the north line of the M.
Hunt Survey to its northwest corner;
THENCE south along the west.line of the M. Hunt
Survey to its southwest corner and continuing south
along said line produced to its intersection with the
south line of State Farm to Market Road No. 1886;
THENCE westerly along the south line of State Farm
to Market Road No. 1886 to its intersection with the
west line of Tarrant County;
THENCE north along the west line of Tarrant County to
its intersection with the north line of the D. P. Newsom
Survey;
THENCE east along the north line of the D. P. Newsom
Survey to its northeast corner;
THENCE south along the east line of the D. P. Newsom
Survey to the northerly northwest corner of the S. A. &
M. G. RR Company Survey;
THENCE east along the north line of the S. A. & M. G.
RR Company Survey to its northeast corner, in the west
line of the J. Wilcox Survey No. 43;
THENCE north along the west line of the J. Wilcox
Survey No. 43 to its northwest corner,
THENCE east along the north line of the J. Wilcox
Survey No. 43 to its intersection with the east line
of State Highway No. 199;
THENCE southeasterly along the east line of State
Highway No. 199 to its intersection with the south line
of County Road No. 4032,

THENCE easterly along the south line of County Road
No. 4032, with its meanders, to its intersection with
the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line, in the
J. Wilcox Survey No. 42;
THENCE south, east, southeast, east, south, east and
south along the present City of Fort Worth City Limit
Line, with its meanders, to the place of beginning, and
containing approximately 9.4 square miles.
SECTION 2.
That this ordinance-shall be published one time in The Fort Worth
Press, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance
with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and
effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty
(30) days from the date of its publication, as aforesaid, and it is so
ordained.
Presented and passed on first reading Friday, the A4 L day of
1958.
