AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; PRESCRIBING A SAVING CLAUSE AND SPECIFYING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: Section 1. That the hereinafter described territory.lying.adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being sit- uated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: BEING a 367 acre tract of land about 8 miles south of the County Courthouse in Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in the A. Rhodes and G. Herrera Survey, and being more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at a corner in the present City of Fort Worth city limit line, said corner being in the north line of Tract 1, conveyed to Texas Electric Service Company by deed recorded in Volume 2758, Page 331, of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, 387 feet west of the present center line of U.S. Highway No. 81; THENCE in a southerly direction along the present City of Fort Worth city limit line, 360 feet west of, and parallel to the east line of the G. Herrera Survey to the north line of County Road No. 1059 (Sycamore School Road). THENCE west with the north line of County Road No. 1059 (Sycamore School Road) to its intersection with the east right of way line of the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad. THENCE north with the east right of way line of the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad to its intersection with the north line of Tract No. 1 conveyed to the Texas Electric Service Company by deed recorded in Volume 2758, Page 331, of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, said pSnt tetng also the present corner of The City of Fort Worth city limit line. THENCE in an easterly direction along the present City of Fort Worth city limit line and along the north line of said Texas Electric Service Company tract to the place of beginning and containing approximately 367 acres. Section 2. That this ordinance shall be published one time in The Fort Worth Star- Telegram, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter. Section 3. If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordinance is for any reason held void, or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections, subsections, clauses, sentences, phrases or words, except as the same are inseparable from and indispensable to the remaining portions of the ordinance. Section 4. That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publication, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
